Course Curriculum Overview

4

The paper has a direct influence on my future competitive examination and job.. The teaching method and course curriculum should be improved. There are unnecessary materials that has to be bought by the students which are not even helpful The timetable is not so friendly while you have a class at 8:30 then spend the whole day and take the second class at 3:30..

Internships Opportunities

2

Not sure about the internship opportunities and companies that came to the campus But There are societies that help students find internships and bring companies that help students improve their resume and job opportunities

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of Mata Sundri College for women of Delhi university for the course BA political science is not high as compared to some other courses and colleges It ranges from 24000-26000 rupees annually for both the semester in an year. The annual fee payment can only be done through online mode through net banking/UPI on college website during a specific time frame. The examination form and fee payment is done through the same process on delhi university website where you have to select the paper you have opted per semester and pay the fee. On the same website for extra papers like improvements you have to pay an extra fee

Campus Life

4

Since the college is a punjabi college an annual program called Bani kirtan is held every year for students of delhi other than that many annual fests are organised overall you get a good experience Library is open to all during week days only when the college is open for working book are avid to all students..

Admission

Honestly I wasn't sure about taking admission into this college infact i never intended to... The CUET and CSAS process was very convenient for students outside Delhi but things were still not clear about different colleges... what I noticed was the campus problem students thought their colleges was either in north or south so made the preference list accordingly got accepted and later realised that they have been fooled by the information they gained from the internet..

Faculty

3

The students to professor ratio would be around 7:2 Professors are often seen taking classes in the room full of students while a bunch of students sit in the corridor to attend the class this mostly happens during the extra papers like SEC,VAC,AEC

Night Life

2

I have never experienced the night life since the college doesnt provide us the hostel facility... The nearby area is just government building and often roads and metro exit gates are blocked due to VIP crossings But the college is near to Cannought place (CP) a favourite hangout spot for all Delhi people No there aren't any hostels or pg near or on campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
