Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is not designed to meet new standards of education as of the world. The curriculum still holds the long theoretical part that are no longer needed for the students. Curriculum should contain more of the real world teaching as well as skill development programs including the regular debates and influential skill training.

Internships Opportunities

3

Companies doesn't provide internships on high scale instead the centres within University like Cdphr and CTS are more likely to provide internships instead of SEC paper. One of the company that provided gyan publications provided internships but it is also of zero stipend.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fees varies for different courses and types of categories. This Fee structure doesn't include our examination fees which also varies depending upon the subject or paper we choose but this is a different matter as College Website doesn't deals with it instead it is the University portal that is the incharge for Examination Fees

Campus Life

3

Lakshmibai College has a special yearly fest named as Saptrang. This fest is normally held during May - April. The availability of books are good in college library. They contain many knowledgeable books and other than that they have daily newspaper editions in both Hindi & English. Sports & Extracurricular activities are also available and they have gained a special popularity in university as well. No student portal is available only societies led by students are there in college.

Admission

I've applied to many other colleges as of du structure of admissions, a preference list is required so I have to apply for other colleges as well. Other than this I have tried to apply for BHU but later my family didn't approve for moving to other state just for a bachelors degree.

Faculty

3

Faculty members are comparatively less than the students and in this also the teachers with knowledge and teaching skills are less than 1%. Some Faculty teachers are very humble but as I mentioned earlier some are not very nice. Exams are held semestervise. Political Science Department is good and other departments such as English and history are also nice. Some faculties are wannabe strict with students often time leading students to stressed environment.

Night Life

2

Gym are only open for weightlifting students as an athletics student myself I found it very frustrating that gym is not open for any other student. Canteen and public areas are mid as the food in canteen is not fresh and library doesn't have AC for students. Famous hangout places are North Campus, Karol Bagh market, Gtb market and other places are also nearby. Locality is a posh area but as it is a women college it is not safe for us to roam around at night.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
