Course Curriculum Overview

5

What influenced me is I come from Arts background and through there are 100s of specialised courses in that but Economics Hons is the most serious course. Also, because it's affiliated with DU which has the best Economics Hons course in the country it makes it better, deeper and strongest way to learn about domestic and global economies.

Internships Opportunities

5

Companies plenty gallore as every DTU be it BBA or Economics Hons students are pushed for intenrships. It's easy to find on own as DTU students just with the brand of DTU can easily score intenrships. Our university top helps for the same and a reasonable stipend is provided.

Placement Experience

5

JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and others which dwells in various economies are some of the recruitment organisation which has come to DTU time and again. For Economics Hons the placements have been in the range of 5-6 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

DTU East Campus is probably the one which exists for making some noise. Now the best thing is that our fees isn't that high as for Economics Hons it's 1.16 lakhs is yearly fees for general category students. It's different for different categories students but besides category quora there are other quotas as well through which, students can avail scholarship.

Campus Life

5

DTU is more of academic university as unlike DU where there are plenty of societies we have less. I was the junior coordinator for taking students in society and I handled that role responsibly. I am glad that I was handed that opportunity and likewise students with zeal are provided endless opportunities here to grow. Annual event of DTU, Engie is still hosted at the main campus.

Admission

Admission are same like Delhi University admissions as CUET UG is evaluated and a score of 500 or more is the cut-off for DTU. However there are just 180 seats for our course, students have to be early in applying as once seats are full then score doesn't matter but no new admission are entertained henceforth.

Faculty

5

Faculties here are not just PhD but Post Doctor Fellowship people who are attending international faculties conferences all round the year. We have over 100s of faculties and each one with distinct personality but one thing in common and that is to be available for students. One such who is my favourite as well is Laxmipriya Pradhan madam.

Night Life

5

Our college area isn't that great and therefore we explore the other sides of Delhi like the CP and Hauz Khaas. Even though they are far but DTU students are seen hoping the cafes there as that is where one can find the best crowd to hangout.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
