UPES University is a novelty!

CSE with AI & ML is something which most universities or colleges have started it as a different course altogether. However in UPES it is combined with CSE because without learning computers, you can't learn both. This is what differs UPES University from the rest and I am so very happy that I will be finishing my engineering from such a prestigious university.

Around 100 recruiters is what UPES has and it is not at all easy for us even after that. I am placed while I am in my 7th semester and most students were. Those who are left will get another shot in this semester which is our last semester. All IT companies while coming to Dehradun UPES is their first coice university for recruitment.

It's not about the fees as UPES fees is definitely high because it's the largest private university in Uttarakhand. Our fees for CSE is 500000 and since I have also taken hostel services I pay around 1.8 lakhs for it. So nearly 7 lakhs a year and other charges and all will make it a total cost of 30 lakhs for engineering from UPES.

Around 40 clubs is what are officially registered at UPES and some not registered but are operating independently. Society meets and students working for that is something which is so soothing to see. Our infrastructure is next level and it does hosts 2 fests every year as sports fest and cultural fests, both takes place at our university every year.

There are five boys hostels of UPES inside the campus and all are amazing. AC and for those who don't want AC rooms do have the option of Non AC rooms. Yes for students who feel hostels are expensive can rent a PG close to the university as there are 100s of them.

Admission even though it's a private university and has nearly 1200 students but all have come after clearing UPESAT. As university has made compulsory to sit students for that. Even other courses too have their set entrance at UPES Dehradun.

UPES passing percentage maybe lower than most private universities as faculties of UPES set the toughest paper they probably can. Faculties no doubt teaches the best but are too strict and handles students with toughness. They feel it's their way of making us strong but most students don't like that idea though.

UPES itself is a place to be in my eyes. We have every singular facility for which students mostly go out. We have cafes, gardens and a lot more inside the campus. Also view from the campus is so majestic that we don't have to go to Mussoorie to feel it as we can see Mussoorie skyline directly from our campus.
