IIIT Bhubaneswar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I didn;t got any college through JEE so i applied for OJEE couceliing,i was expecting CET college but i got IIT bbsr,i am happy in this college and the studies are awesome and placement is good as microsoft is also recruiting.

I joined because this is a gvot college.The most entertaining four days of the college are the ADVAITA days. The fest organised by the college is absolutely stunning. The techno-cult fest has everything starting from tech events, hackathons to fashion shows, dance offs, rap battles, eating challenges, you name it. Famous personalities like Gajendra Verma, Arjun Kanungo, The Local Train band and so many more have performed during the fest at Pronites. The extra curricular activities you can indulge in totally depends on your capacity.

I choose this institute as it is a reputed institute in odisha. IIIT Bhubaneswar also comes under partly private partly odisha govt funded institute. This college was inaugurated by none other than late president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. Although this college is not as big as compared to other reputed colleges in area but it makes up with beautiful senary of mountains and terrain. Here most of the faculties have graduated from either NITs or IITs.

The management is pretty strict. I'd say don't expect anything from them. It's about the friends and seniors that make me love the college the most.

Overall, the college is okay. Though at times management does stupid things, in the end everything works out properly.

Based on my merit in the JEE-Mains,i had quite a few options to choose from but I opted for this college as it is among the top notch colleges in the country with reasonably good placement opportunities. The college is located at a suitable distance from all the necessary services and is easily accessible. The region too has an ambient climate. Information Technology and Computer Science are the best courses to pursue here as the faculties are highly qualified. Hostel accommodation is pretty sorted out with a good mess. I was very keen on building a career in the technology field, and this was the perfect place to head start.

College management is good. Although there were some problems regarding online quiz and server, the management resolved them in a short span of time.

College management has some issues sometimes but most of the times there isn't any issue and it is good.

Im kind of satisfied with the hostel and classroom distance. Its very apt and 2 days off in the weekend is obviously great. The college doesn't have a gym which feels kind of bad. No swimming pool as well.

Small and compact campus. Food and accommodation is quite average. Internet quality in some hostel buildings is very bad.
