NIT Silchar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Civil engineering is one of the best engineering course in NIT Silchar. Faculty wise professors are well trained graduates from different well reputed institutes. Nearly 25 professors are there for 160 students. They are well equipped with best teaching skills. In a semester after 2 months mid semester exams are conducted and after 2 months end semester exams would be conducted.

From 7th semester majority of students become eligible for campus placements. Many top companies such as nutanix visited to hire students. Highest package offered is 80lpa and average is 9lpa as per current information. Nearly 80 percent students are getting placed. To get a good job after getting degree.

Students having better skills become eligible for campus placements from fourth year semester onwards . Many companies including apple ,Microsoft etc-- visited. Highest package is 80lpa and average package is 9lpa. Nearly 85 percentage students are getting placed . Need to go to higher studies after getting degree.

Replacements here start from the end of the third year. However, a student can opt for an internship at the end of his or her second year which is good for the placements. There are many prestigious companies which visit here every year some of them are wipro, IBM, google, etc. The placements percentage is almost 95% in the campus which is awesome. The highest on-campus package is approximately 88lpa from IBM. I plan to take the examination called Gate and do my masters in any of the Great Institutes in India. The seniors here are very supportive regarding this examination and will guide you through this.

I choose it, this was the best course for my score in jee mains. That's why I had to take it. The ratio of student to faculty about 4 to 1. The staff it pretty good in their qualification and teaching as well... Nearly for every 2onths we have midsem exams and for every four months we have end sem exams

Placements are very good in our college, coming to the eligibility of the students to the campus placements, the students who are in the 7th semester will have the eligibility to go through the campus placement processes and students who are in the 6th semester will have the opportunity to go through the internships. Many top companies visit our college during the placement period these some top companies Microsoft Amazon Flipkart Swiggy Zomato Meesho Tata motor services Electro max Google Chiprox Infosys Etc.. The highest package is about 90 lakhs per annum and coming to the average package it is about 15 lakhs per annum. It depends on the skill of the particular candidate and it depends on the course that we have chosen. About 90% of the students get placed from the various branches of our college.

Students are eligible for placement starting from the 7th semester. Top IT, core companies, and PSU's offers placement, The highest package I remember was for 15 lpa and the average lpa offered is 3 lacs/annum. Almost every student gets placed and when the total percentage of placement exceeds 85% students can sit for more than one company. My plan was getting into IES and PSU through GATE examination.
