Here the faculty is very nice they are ready help when students need there help
Here placements is so good and many top companies are approaching to the college students here having good opportunity for the placements average placements is about 13lakhs per annual combining all branches
Many scholarships like fcc, nsp and others are student welfare related and do help the students alot.

Dislikes

Scholarship are there for weak section of society.. my fees is somewhat between 140000 to 150000 years as i didn't receive any scholarship or anything.
The hostel facility is not that great, there is a food problem in terms of taste and water problem in terms of hygiene, there are some issues with the internet also.
The attendance criteria is really strict and the behaviour of the professors are not good

My college world

Likes

Facilities are very cooperative and friendly .
Environment in nit Silchar is eco-friendly and greenary .
placements and internships are very good in nit Silchar.

Dislikes

Hostel food is not much good. But that is okay according to North Indians.
No proper tools in laboratory and classrooms .
Lack of maintaining sanitation facilities in hostel.

Placement Experience:

The placements of nit Silchar is very good . At the time of 6th semester students will get placements based on their knowledge and coding skills and projects that we done. There are so many companies hired students of nit Silchar i.e, Amazon , Microsoft and Adobe etc... highest package in 2023 is 60lpa and average package is 12lpa. 90 percent of students gets places every year from nit Silchar.

Knowing about NIT silchar

Likes

There is a good eco friendly nature in the college.
The college surroundings are greenery with full of trees.
Availability of fresh air and less pollution in college.

Dislikes

No hot water available in hostels during winter.
Teaching on green boards with chalk in classrooms.
Hostel food menu is not good in few days a week.

Placement Experience:

The overall (undergraduation) percentage got placed in 2023 is 89.41%.Some students will go to foreign for their higher studies and some students will graduate M.Tech in India.The highest package was offered is 80Lpa (CSE) in 2023.The overall(ug) average package in 2023 is 14.39 Lpa.Students are eligible for campus placements after 6th semester.

Likes

Nit silchar is greenary and pollution less campus. It is friendly environment.
Faculties of nit silchar is very cooperative and friendly.
Placements and internships are very good.

Dislikes

Hostel food is not good according to my point of view.
Digital boards are not available here so I prefer to get digital boards
In labs the facilities are not much good.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students will get placements with good salary. we will get campus placements based on our talent. There are many companies hired in nit silchar i.e, Amazon , Microsoft , Adobe etc.. highest package in nitsilchar 2023 is 60lpa . And the average package is 12lpa. 90 percent of students get placed in every year . So in my point of view nit silchar is very good campus.

My view of my college

Likes

The beauty of this college as it has many trees and lakes in it
The festivals celebrated in this college

Dislikes

As a south indian i don't like this food

Placement Experience:

Placement process will be started in the 7th semester and many companies come for placemets over india and multinational companies too.some of those companies are Amazon, microsoft, adobe etc total offers made over the year will be around 500 to 550

The Truth Of NIT Silchar

Likes

I like about our college is its architecture.
I like about our college is its ever green campus.
I like about my college is it is pollution less campus.

Dislikes

I dont like that is very far from city and placed in city outskits.
I dont like that its old buildings and i thuink it should be revenuated.

Placement Experience:

7th semister is eligible for the campus interviews. The companies visited to our collage are amazon,bijus ,tsp etc... The high paccage offered is 40 lpa and average paccage is above 10 lpa . More than 80 percent of students get placed . My plans after getting my degree is to get placed in campus interview.

Truth of nit silchar

Likes

I like the infra structure of our collage .
I like the greenary in our collage which makes nit silchar as one of top most beautiful nit .
I like the pollution less environment in our collage .

Dislikes

I don't like the old buildings and i think some buildings should be revenueatrd .
I don't like the roads of our collage and they should be re built .
I don't like that our college is very far from city and present in out shuts.

Placement Experience:

Students are elligible for campus interviews from 7th semister . The companies visited to our collage are amazon , bijus , tcs etc.. and many offers were received . The highest paccage in civil engineering is 27 lpa and average package was arount 8 . Nearly 85 percent students get placed in which 105 students got placed out of 120. Ny plans after getting degree is to get well placed in campus interview and become a best civil engineer.

Nit Silchar inside out

Campus is beautiful.you love to spend time here
In library with your girlfriend I like the most
In cricket ground where I play cricket for my team

Dislikes

Hostels bh1,2,3 so old look also special consideration on hostel accommodation.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is quite high as compared to other nits.cse average package 2023 is around 25lakh with highest package of 80 lakhs.in ece AVG is about 18 lakhs with highest 64 lakhs.other branches are also doing well.

The atmosphere is study friendly and focuses on development of student excellence
The various clubs which encourage co curricular activities and various sports to persue different career opportunities
The biggest digital Library in Asia which has a lot of digital books

Dislikes

The attendance criteria is really strict and the behaviour of the professors are not good
The study routine is really hectic and you would get really less time to explore other fields
Curriculum full of unnecessary practical and projects

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement during their fourth year Notable companies like Land T,Google, Microsoft,ibm,Wipro,tata,godrej,oyo,all visit the campus Highest package offered in case of 82 lpa and average in case being 18 Overall 84 %studnets get placed I would like to pursue mtech after degree

Unveiling the campus life of NIT SILCHAR.

Likes

Campus is lush green , and size of campus is very big 625 acers to be exact.
Gender ratio is good compared to others collages.
Fests are ver good in our collage there is so much fun.

Dislikes

Hostel and facilities are not very good .
Mess workers are not friendly, and they are not very hyginic.
College infrastructure is not good and department buildings are old.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our collage is quite good like in our branch ECE average pacakage for last year is 21 LPA. Highest pacakage was 65 LPA. Stusents are eligible forplacements from 7th semester of their collage.

I like faculty in my collage great faculty was alloted and highly experienced faculty.
I like the greenery in our collage which makes our beautiful and different from many colleges.
I like the polution less air in our collage.

Dislikes

I don't like the some buildings of our campus and i think they should be renovated.
I don't like that our collage is present in city outscuts.
I don't like the road in our collage in specific places.

Placement Experience:

The eligibility for campus placements is from seventh semister. The companies visited in our campus are amazon,byjus ,tcs, mahindra etc.. and in civil engineer 97 offers were made out of 120 members. 27 lpa was offered in civil engineering and average paccage was 8 lpa . The percentage of students getting placed if approximately 80 percent in civil engeneering My plans after getting degree is to try for campus placements .
