NIT Silchar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards. Campus placement is quite good enough here. L&T, Tata, Mahindra, Adverb technology comapny came for placements. The average package is 6 lpa and the maximum package is 9 lpa for the electrical department. If I talk about the computer department Almost 95% students are placed in good company. The average package is 10 lpa and the maximum package is 30-35 lpa

Placements are getting better every year and it provides 100% placements for CSE.Faculty quality is almost same at every NIT.Used College Pravesh for last year cut-off and other details.Quora was a constant support for all the relevant queries.

Ranking of the college wrt that of other colleges in the country. Also, placement stats, campus facilities, faculty interaction are some of the things I looked into before choosing the said branch of the college.

Among all engineering colleges, of course NIT is good. If we see rankings, then NIT Silchar is a better one than most of the colleges. For students of Assam the college have some reservation. The college is also good in the road of placements.

My ranking in JEE ofcourse and passion to pursue engineering in a college which is the bandwidth of 800-1000 among international ranking. NIT SILCHAR has been improving it's curriculum and ranking each year and also has maintained a descent Nirf ranking this year.

NITS has a good rank among the NIT(s) and with the marks i obtained, it seemed to be the best option for me. Also it is located in my homestate. The college has a large campus with many lakes and green all around. It also has the Asia's biggest digital library. The course i opted is BTech in Mechanical Engineering as this is the field i would like to study further.

Yes, infastructure is good. Sporting facility to medical infastructure is good. Good labs, a state of art library and lan connection. But Mobile network needs to be improved a lot due to lack of mobile towers inside the campus. Hygienic Infrastructure. Academic section provide us good facilities and most important in college life is hostel and NIT silchar hostel are outstanding.Nit silchar have asia greatest digital library.

The institute holds good NIRF ranking all over India and the placement statistics of the institute is very good.Besides this the atmosphere of the institute is very calm.It gives a good exposure to the students studying there.
