I liked the campus beauty and the staff over here who are very supportive and the teachera who are ready for yoy every time you go to them and wven the hygine is maintained quite good here
Faculty members in this department are the best atleast i think so, they interact with students in a friendly manner this allows us to freely ask our doubts and gain knowledge.
Tution fee in each year is increased by 10 percent and there are number of scholarships and fee refunds for which a student can apply for after approval of his cirtificates and various other documents.

Dislikes

Hostels - their is not sufficient hostels available for students and hostel mess is very bad. their is no student union available so it is very difficult to make some change in college.
It is not so good as expected because of lack of facilities within the college.but according to social aspects and culture it is good and our nit is lacking infrastructure and this affects campus life too.
It is a very small campus compared to the other nits, the college grounds are very small, and there are no separate buildings for the courses.

Honest Review of institute of national importance - NIT RAIPUR

Likes

Less Study hours to focus on other activities
Many fests and clubs for overall development
No ragging, there is absolutely 0 ragging in campus

Dislikes

Hostels are very less, only topper students can get hostels
Classrooms are not so good, they can be better
Old teaching style and curriculum. No smart ways to teach.

Placements are pretty good, highest 55, average 13.67. All big companies like Microsoft, De Shaw, JP Morgan and visit campus for recruitment and provide many offers to students. We have an 80% placement rate. My plan is to first grab a job and then decide what to do.

Overview of NITRR

Likes

I liked the environment around the campus
The friendly nature of senior with their juniors
Professional behaviour of faculty as well senior

Dislikes

Few professor are way too strict with students
Hostel capacity is way too less and students have to stay outside the campus

Placement Experience:

From the 5th sem onwards students are eligible for internship and students must do internship. And from the 7th sem, they are eligible for campus placement. According to statistics, the placement is pretty good with a good amount of students getting placed in good companies with 10 lacs of average placement.

NIT RAIPUR

The location is inside the city soo if you want to go for a walk or want to experience city life.
The professors are quite helping and you can also talk to PhD and Mtech scholars for your doubts.

Dislikes

The hostel in NIT RAIPUR is quite a mess. The seats are allotted based on your CPI and for the first year on basis of distance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am an ECE student. Like any other aspirant, my goal was also to get CSE in any good NIT or IIT but I didn't get one considering my rank after CSE I found ECE to be the most considerable branch as my brother was also from this branch he suggested to me to opt for it and I did and I don't regret it. The student ratio at NIT Raipur is good in labs there would always be someone to help you out in case you are stuck in your experiments. The professors in class also clear your doubts effectively and if you want to make a project for the national science exhibition or can be your project the faculties are quite helpful. All the faculties are highly qualified professionals from different IITs some have also completed their education from abroad. For the exams, we were the first batch after COVID soo everything was shifting from online to offline soo we were at a loss as we were already 3 months late for admission and our course also started late, but the exams are quite on the easier side.

Nit raipur review

Likes

Well the faculties are very awesome and supportive
The senior to junior interaction is very nice
Nit tag is enough to gain ample respect in the society

Dislikes

The infrastructure could have been much better
The ground and canteen could have been better
The parking schedule and access to city is less.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is perfect. Everything here is very well maintained and managed the timetable is very liniment and the faculties are very supportive and very humble and always ready to help and also very good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course to study electrical engineering in which I am interested. Faculty are qualified from top IITs and their way of teaching is also very good. Exams are of good level and the question is also not repeated.

NIT RAIPUR Review

Likes

There was ragging free environment. Senior were friendly.
Good infrastructure and fest were organized.
Too many clubs amd committee. Selection procedure were also good.

Dislikes

Lack of hostel facilities. Student will not get hostel from 2nd year .
Only few students were get hostel in 1st year .
Way of teaching is like school. Labs were also small.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I saw more scope in civil as the number of vacancies increased in government jobs so I chose this. The Faculties were sufficient as compared to the students. All faculties were highly qualified and the teaching method was also good. Term exams were held timely as given in the schedule before starting.

ME IN MY COLLEGE

Likes

The experiences I am having there is upgrading my skills, confidence and body language.
The placement scenario is preety good there.
The extra curriculum activity is also happens.

Dislikes

You should be mentally mature enough for academics.
They are very strict about your attendence and discipline.
They have some shortage of boys hostels and college's infrastructure looks old.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario in our college is pretty good. The college will expose you to a good grade company with a great range of package offers. For on-campus placement interviews, your academics CPI should be good without any backlog in previous semesters.

NIT Raipur in a brief

Likes

placements are good, mess food is good, hostels are good, except senior year boys washrooms
attendence criteria is little supportive specially in IT department
who ever is reading this, even if you rank is good, go for IT, not for CSE, or else you'll regret later

not availaibility of hostels for every students

Placement Experience:

4th year students can sit for placements and 3rd year are allowed to sit for on-campus internships. a lot of big names, DE Shaw, MathsWork, oracle, Optum, Deloitte, etc 90% of students are placed on campus

NIT raipur overall review

Likes

Good teachers and faculty members, they are very supportive and well qualified.
Senior and junior relation , senior are very supportive and helpful.they always guide us.
Different clubs and committee, we have large variety of clubs and committee which gives a good college life

Dislikes

Campus area, campus area is about 200 acres .Not satisfying as compare to other nits.

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for placement from the fourth year. A total of 101 companies came for placement some of them are Amazon, Google, Wipro Adobe, Info Red, and many more. 57 lpa is the highest placement from the IT branch. About 10.3 LPA is the average placement for the non-circuital branch and about 15.6 LPA for the circuital branch. 738 students get on-campus placement About 85% of students are placed. After graduation, I will apply to a different company as a full-stack developer. I will also apply off-campus by getting referrals from seniors and teachers.

I liked to have helping nature faculties and senior.
As the location of college is middle of the city so there is no problem faced to get for shopping
Every functions are held properly and Apperciable.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not very good compare to other nits.
hostel sets is limited than inn other collages .

As an alumnus of NIT Raipur, here are my views on this institution-

Faculty- The faculty lags behind in terms of NIT standards. It is slightly above average. This is because their teaching method is not very engaging. That being said, the teachers are helpful. They will advise you to engage in extracurriculars as well.

Student Interaction- The senior-junior interaction is good.

Despite IIT Raipur and AIIMS Raipur being in close proximity, interaction and

idea-sharing with them is negligible.

Industry Connect- It has a good industry connection for some core branches like mining, metallurgy, and civil.

Campus Life- The campus life isn’t good. But eventually, you’ll learn to cope with things and enjoy yourself. You’ll learn a lot during your degree from this campus.

Infrastructure- There is a lot of room for improvement in the infrastructure of this college.

Placement- Placement records are decent. Last year an average package of INR 10.1 LPA was recorded by the college. A total of 738 offers were made by 101 companies. Some of the companies that visit the campus for placements include- Infoedge, Siemens, Adobe, Barclays, Capgemini, FIAT, Reliance, TATA, SapientNitro, Oracle, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant and Wipro.

Overall, I would say that NIT Raipur is a bit lacking in many respects. However, you’ll get a good chance to rise over here because of low competition.
