IIT Delhi Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Course in the first year in all IITs is same, the curriculum in iit is not so tough and not so easy, but there should be an improvement in teaching methods as sometimes professors lack in an interactive teaching session

The placements at IIT Delhi are second to none. Students are eligible for on campus placements from sevents semester/final year onwards, although eligibilty for different companies may vary and hence include screening processes depending on the cgpa and academics. Some notable mentions include Google,microsoft, amazon, goldman sachs, adobe among others. The no of offers made vary each year and is hard to tell with exact accuracy but is often above 85% of all students. Me personally after obtaining the degree would like to pursue higher studies abroad aligning to my career interests.

So, the NIRF ranking of IIT DELHI got me to choose this, as I didn't have any idea about my branch so, no prior business about that. The academic Curriculum here is very tough, in comparison to other colleges, and scoring here is really tough. The real-life world connection in studies is really less. And being and engineering students we are used to taking exams every now and then.

the courses offered are very useful and made in such a way that the learnings are sustainable and for long term purpose. all the courses explain their importance in real world applications. exams are very frequent about once in every 2 weeks

Biotech has high scope across foreign countries. As there are outbrakes of virus spread across many countries , biotech students will be in high demand as they know how to identify the micro organisms and how to kill them.

The courses we had in first sem are as follows: 1. Business Communication - well-structured and open-ended course 2. Managerial Economics - Taught by Japanese Professor 3. Ethics and Value based leadership - Well- experiences professor with 30+ years of exp 4. Statistics for Management - Too much Mathematical but great prof 5. Organization Theory - Taught by former leader of NPCL 6. QMM - Not so good teaching methodology and faculty 7. Management Accounting - The faculty runs like anything. We have quizzes in every class about what was taught in previous class. Poor teaching methods 8. Marketing Management - Best Prof with so much experience 9. Business Research Methos - Too muh logical. Practical application focused subject. Great Prof

Placements start from the 6th and 7th semesters (at the end of the 3rd year). Many global companies like Amazon, Janestrret, Google, and Microsoft make offerings. The generally highest package would be around 2 cr, and the average will be 16 lpa.

Placement season starts in November every year after the 7th semester, which is the most hectic time period of one student in entire college time. The companies which come are big enough, for e.g. from Google to Mackenzie to Microsoft to Bain & Co. comes to our campus. Though recession has hit the placements but the package offered are still good. last year highest package was 1.8 Cr CTC(abroad) and 1.4 Cr CTC(home) and average was around 12-13 lacs. Almost 80-85% of the students get placed in the entire season.

Course curriculum designed by the Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi is really good and helpful for the overall development of the students. The faculties of Indian Institute of Technology is highly qualified and disciplined.

Students become eligible for campus placements in the 5th semester. Multiple companies visit our campus like Ola, Quant, Bajaj etc. Each company makes different number of offers. The highest package last year year was 4 Crore for internation and 1 Crore for Indian role. Most of the students get campus placement. I plan to persue M. Sc. after getting my degree.
