IIT Delhi Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

after the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. The first day is called Day 1 (and not 0) at IITD. The most elite and sought-after companies come on Day 1, and their packages are obviously the highest among the visiting companies. There are Consulting companies including Mckinsey, B.C.G., Bain, Parthenon, A.T. Kearney in the morning slot, and Diamond, Opera, Essex in the evening slot. Their packages are 15-16 Lakhs, with the exception of Parthenon, which gives 29 LPA. There are Finance companies like Goldman Sachs, WorldQuant, Deutsche Bank, etc. They offer a bit higher packages. There are core companies including Schlumberger, GSK, ITC, and HUL. They offer packages in the range of 16-20 LPA. Schlum offers 34 lpa. Then there is a big chunk of Computer Science companies, like Google USA and India, Samsung Korea and India, Microsoft USA and India, Facebook USA, Tower Research, Code Nation, Nutanics, Visa, IBM, DirectI, etc. etc. All of them offer packages over 20 Lakhs

The course curriculum is very physics forward. Just like every engineering college, the first year curriculum is common for all branches, but the rest of the years are solely dependent on your branch. A lot of physics concepts are taught in civil engineering. The faculty here is very helpful and the exams are conducted on par with the schedule provided in the beginning of the semester. While getting a 10 GPA might not be easy, but passing a course is fairly easy.

From the 8th semester onwards students become eligible for placements. Almost all the big companies and MNCS visit the campus to offer placements to the students. The average package of IIT Delhi is 20,00,000 and almost all the students who sit in the placements are placed in some or the other companies. The highest package of IIT Delhi is 4 crore Which is an international package. The highest domestic package goes around 1 cr. After the degree, I would like to have my own startup and not get placed in any company.

IIT DELHI provides the best placement opportunity amongst any college in India Many big MNCs came for the recruitment like google McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, Facebook, world quant, etc If you're really dedicated towards your Mtech course you'll easily get a job There are 2-3 seniors from our branch who even got jobs in foreign countries like japan, Taiwan

From final year onwards students become eligible for placements. There are lot of companies like Accenture, flipkart, Amazon, HSBC, etc which offer 5-10 students. The highest package was 50lakhs -1Cr and average is 9- 15 LPA. Usually much students get placed from our college. But this year the percentage is very low could be due the firing of freshers and fear of corporate companies to hire freshers. I Will go for the placements which is still going ( second season ).

Electrical courses always interested me since jee preparation days. The faculty here is excellent. I really love the subjects taught and some of our faculty members are really great. there are 20% reservation criteria for students and we have two midterm exams and one end term exam.

The course curriculum is quite interesting, we are allowed to take extra courses out of our branch. I am also pursuing a minor in Design from DOD, IIT Delhi. The journey with professors is fun and learning curve is beyond infinity, the way IITs provide freedom at the same time opportunities is great.

Mostly everyone gets a placement, good or bad. The CTC varies from 7LPA to 4CrPA. Most top companies from India and abroad visit the campus in every domain, from consulting to software to product management and HFTs. I plan to work as a product manager at Betafi. And then have my own startup in a few years.

Most big companies like Google, Amazon, Meta, BCG, etc come for hiring. The placements start when the student is in the 6th semester. All students get placed. The salary ranges from crores to very modest sums.
