Jamia Millia Islamia University: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 4 Reviews

Jamia Millia Islamia offers an accessible admission process mainly online, allowing candidates to apply for multiple subjects with automated fee calculations. Entrance exams are held in June-July, followed by offline admissions in August, requiring document submission like original marksheets and certificates. The faculty is highly qualified, with most possessing doctorates, and is dedicated to providing quality education. The academic year is divided into two semesters with exams twice a year.

The university's fees are lower than many other institutions, with Faculty of Humanities and Languages courses costing about Rs. 7,000 annually, and most others around Rs. 20,000. Fees can be paid online or offline, with detailed and transparent receipts. Placement opportunities are limited, focused on Mass Communication, Tour and Travels, Engineering, and MBA, with fewer options for other courses. The university conducts job readiness workshops but generally requires students to find internships and placements externally.

However, it offers scholarships for low-income students and those with outstanding academic achievements, enhancing accessibility. While placement support is limited, the college provides good internship opportunities and has an efficient placement cell.
