Their 7th-semester guys are eligible for campus placement. And many students take a pre-placement offer before the 7th semester. There are many opportunities to build your career. Many companies are visited these are Accenture, Deustche Bank, KPMG, Adani Enterprises, Flipkart, L&T Construction, Aditya Birla, ISRO, Microsoft, Adobe, J P Morgan, ONGC, Amazon, JSW Steel, Paytm, Ambuja Cements, K12 Technologies. And many other companies. There is the first phase 479 students was placed by 32 companies.

IIT being an institute of national importance opens up a lots of opportunities and gives a recognition amongst other top institutes. Alumni of these institutes currently occupy high positions in industries and academia thus providing connections to these areas.

I had not secured a great rank in JEE Advanced. With 10k rank I had very less choices for IIT B. Tech. program. Moreover, ISM is world famous for its Earth Science branches and it's great chain of alumni network. For earth science branches IIT ISM Dhanbad has got no other colleges at par in India. Its infrastructure and education and alumni base is the best. Also, NIRF ranking is 12. So it's a best choice with this rank.

I chose IIT ISM dhanbad because in the earth science department this college is considered as best not even in India but in Asia. This college is the oldest college in India offering mining engineering since 1926.

The college culture is excellent, but the academics, infrastructure and placements are the areas where college administration needs to work on, especially with global recession, we have the challenge and opportunity to stand out from the rest out there.

Good: Environment, atmosphere, infrastructure, faculties profile, laboratories. Bad: Hostel room area is quite less.
