IIT Dhanbad Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The only negative remarks is that about the stringent conditions for the attendance in the class. Apart from that everyone and everything is sorted and is positive to be around but yea you've to cope with the competition as well.

It is a good college. Although not at par with original seven IITs but definitely better than the new IITs. Education is good and apart from that there are a lot of extra curricular activities that goes on throughout the year, be it cultural or sports or education related.

Positive remarks: The institute is known for its contribution to the mining and petroleum sectors of the country. It definitely stands out in comparison to an average Indian institute and is among the top 15 colleges of the country. Negative remarks: Given its 90 year or so old history, some rules and cultures are obsolete and bizzare. The faculty needs to improve for some courses. Sports also needs some attention from the students.

IIT Dhanbad shows great potential and will emerge as top college in India in coming years. The senior Junior relationship is great and solves many problems of college life. Although currently it is still in development phase and a lot of facilities need to be improved.

All campus has its own odds and evens. Although ISM is a brand in itself, which is also an IIT now, some research facilities and environmental is still missing. This institution provides excellent exposure to the industry. Many mining and exploration industries including the Geological Survey of India, choose IIT (ISM) Dhanbad for training their employees in several fields. The Geology, Mining and Geophysics departments are one of the best in the country. Mineral engineering and Mining Machinery engineering departments are probably unique in the country.

At the time of admission I am very doubtfull towards my college. But after coming to IIT ISM Dhanbad and living here for 2 years I really enjoyed so much. I got so many friend and come to know about many things which are very important in life. I am very satisfied with my college.

Positive remark is college is good enough and infrastructure is also good. Placement and faculty is good. And negative remark is in some hostel mess food quality is low and you have to eat food by outside canteen or by zomato.

Positive - It's an IIT, and one of the top 10 IITs. It is ranked 15th among other engineering colleges in India by NIRF. The IIT tag brings along a lot of career opportunities in numerous different fields. The college itself has a very strong foundation and a rich culture. Negative - But, the infrastructure is currently not as good as other IITs and campus area is also limited. Most of the faculty doesn't ignite student's interest in higher studies and research. Students are miserable as they are overburdened with their academics. Placement in core branches are in a miserable state.

College is among the best institutes is in India. The placement ratio is good. It has various infrastructure in building and will have the best in 3 or 4 years. The facilities are improving and will become great in upcoming years.

College is one of best college of India. Overall college is good but changes are still required to make it more better. Sports are only for professionals. Other co-curricural are good, clubs are good. Coming to placements departments like CSE, mining and petroleum are good but for other branches it needs to be improved.
