NIT Jamshedpur-College of great placements

Remarks:

Infrastructure is a mojor problem in this college. In this college you will find that the academic building is not even renovated since it was made. Now from the 2 to 3 years work on the new building is going on and we hope that it will get completed soon.

How Nit Jamshedpur feels like

Remarks:

Having a government college the administration is too slow to act upon and no proper maintenance of grasses and college campus is done. Campus boundaries are open which allows outside people to enter the campus.

Rank in jee mains decides branch that would be alloted. After that josaa counselling is there.Admission is done through counseling conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) based on JEE Main Ranking

Remarks:

Good College. Academic infrastructure is little week which will improve with time . Labs needed to be upgraded . New course curriculum should be there with latest technology . Still good placement and good College.

A College of great opportunity.

Remarks:

No. The college is an institute of national importance. It has got great infrastructure. The campus is green and open. It has got easy access to railway and road network. The placement stats are great as i have already mentioned.

Experience of college life

Remarks:

The college infrastructure is very bad,so much so that most students are disheartened when they come to Jamshedpur in their first year of study. However,there are alot of extracurricular and sports activities going on which interests students. The professors are not ideal but we get used to them.At the end of it,you get a decent job so you walk out of the college satisfied.

Good college in terms of placement

Remarks:

Very poor infrastructure and faculty.Very few capable professor are there. The college life is a bit less exciting compared to.other colleges.The placement statistics is the biggest plus point of this college. The food in the mess is also better compared to other college's mess

It's my college

Remarks:

This institute is established in 1960. At that time it's name is RIT (regional institute of technology) and in 2002 when all RIT get rank of NIT it is also get rank of NIT.now it funded by govt of India and control by MHRD.

Overall my review for my college is positive. I know there are many things that need to be corrected but due to the lack of honest and deserving people in this college, we are left with no option other than to manage the things which we are provided by the college administration.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.

FIITJEE, Rao Academy, Career Point, etc, are examples of coaching institutes that recruited as well. The highest package received was 30 LPA while the average salary was 12 LPA

Extracurricular Activities:

The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
