IIT Bombay Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From 7 th semester students are eligible for placements, there were many big companies coming to our campus for placements like Google, Microsoft, apple and so on. Last year highest package given was around 2 cr and average is around 20 lakhs Maximum all students will get a job in placements

The college I am in is well known for engineering programs, yet management postings here is provided on a larger scale and advancement. During 2020 recruitment had shown somewhere around 20 lakh per annum package, with over 90% placement rate. companies such as Microsoft, Ibm, Amazon, and HCL Technologies were present for the practise rounds.

IIT Bombay provides 100% placement for its students as well as the greatest summer internship opportunities. Accenture, Capgemini, Google, Amazon, Uber, Wipro, Reliance, TATA, Nestle, and others are among the top recruiters. The highest salary was 25 LPA, with an average of 18 LPA.

IIT Bombay is among the top college in India and the college also has international recognition. The college has the favourite spots for the market leaders. The college has a very good record of 100% placement and the highest placement offer of the college is around 95 LPA and the average salary offer is approx 25 LPA. The placement committee of the college is quite dedicated and focuses a lot on the college placement drive and every year the the salary offers increases.

IIT Bombay has a separate placement cell that automates the placements by sending invitations to companies and organizations to conduct campus interviews and recruit the personnel for their requirements. During my year of study, my batch received a total of 1723 placement offers. 45 international offers were made from different countries. 248 pre placement offers were also made to students in the tenure of their internships and summer programs. The highest international package offered was 2.1 crore per annum and the highest domestic package was 1 crore per annum. The average package offered was 25 lakh per annum. The international countries participating in the placement drive were the USA, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Netherlands. The recruiting companies included Uber, Ruberik, Blackstone, Honeywell, ISRO, Airbus, Millenium, etc. Most of the placements were bagged in the sector of Aerospace and chemistry. And the rest were in the sectors like computer science, electrical, mechanical, etc. IIT Bombay had a USP for excellent placement and human resources and it was served to well-deserving candidates.

For entrance, candidates have to give national exams such as the common admission test (CAT) and by obtaining and securing a valid score, candidates have to apply for a form online on the website.

The prominent recruiters who took part in our campus recruitment function were such as PWC, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, CRISIL, Nestle, Invesco, ICICI Bank, J.P Morgan, and Chase. The highest salary package offered was Rs. 29.9 LPA and an average salary of Rs.17.63 LPA were offered in our final placement program. I did the summer internship with JP Morgan and Chase in the area of Business analysis and research. I got a stipend of Rs. 2,00,000. The internship opportunity offered by the companies like Deloitte, Hitachi, Lava international, GEP, Nestle, Jindal steel and power, etc.

This course is standard in computer and supports research in the field. There is around 40-50 staff in the cs division. All the staff are Ph.D. researchers in important themes A term is 4 months in length including every one of the tests (midterm and end-term). Courses are somewhat quick and particularly pace up in the last part of the semester. Zero in on learning is low and scholastic burden is high.

400+ M.Tech students are placed every year here at IIT. Engineering & Technology was observed as the top sector in the placements followed by IT/Software. In my batch, the placement percentage decreased a little since fewer students participated. The highest international package stood at more than INR 2.1 CPA & the highest domestic package stood at more than INR 1 CPA. Honeywell, ISRO, Airbus were the top recruiters.

Placements of IIT Bombay are well known in India. In the year 2020, placement percentage was observed around 83%. A total of 532 students participated in the placement week. Highest domestic package was Rs. 62.28 LPA and the highest international package was Rs. 1.16 CPA. Microsoft, Google, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Boston consulting Group, Apple, Bain were some of the companies who participated for the placements and visited the campus.
