SIT overall will always be in my good books. The fact that it is still new works in its favour as we can see it continually evolving. The management tries to do a lot of things differently, most of which work in our favour. Innovation is encouraged and ideas are supported. We even have an incubation cell under the SCEI to provide grants to college startups which is really exciting. I believe with time, SIT will definitely make it to the top of the list.
Every college has its own pros and cons but I think what matters is how you make the best out of it. I am about to complete my 4 years and for me, everything went pretty well.
There are no negatives about the college. I really enjoyed my stay here. The faculty and the hostel were very accommodating. The college has a pretty decent infrastructure and dedicated management. The sports ground is huge, the library is vast, computer labs and classrooms are digital.
My college was amazing, as my classroom was spacious. Along with this, the college was there to help me to demonstrate the idea of being nice, as well as college, was good and I was able to understand each and everything with full enthusiasm.
My college days went so well, that I enjoyed each and every moment here with all my seniors as well as friends. Apart from this, I was happy that I indulged in various activities which eventually made me strengthen and helped me to gain a lot of knowledge.
The infrastructure is not very big as it should have been. Also, the first semester schedule is very exhausting for the new comers to the college. The academic curriculum, although extremely good is very heavy on the students as assignments and tests carry on throughout the academic year and there is no particular scheme for that.
Yes, the college is very far from city itself and you have to travel a lot. Also SIT is quite expensive and the facukty is average. Sometimes infact the mess food is not upto the mark hence you have to order food from outside which again becomes expendive and the college is located on hilly regions and not much restaurants are available around here. It is also scary while travelling at night alone.
