Likes

I like our teacher they're kind and very good at teaching
Fests are , masquerade night,dj night hled 1 time in 3to 4 month,and other festivals like varsity weeks,for playing games such like ,cricket,football, volleyball,and other games,liker kabbaddi , campus experience are very good
The teachers are very friendly and knowledgeable and very enthusiastic.

Dislikes

Hostel seats are limited therefore you cannot guarantee to get a seat in the first year.
The admission process was quite easy but the payment was problem.
Our website is not that strong so i have to pay multiple time for it to work

St Mary's college.

Likes

I love that the college have Ncc,Nss,Rangers and Youth Red cross.
I joined Ncc and the practices are fun and good.
The canteen stuffs are good and the foods are Good as well.

Dislikes

The principal Maam is sometimes not cooperative.
The bathroom and washrooms are not proper.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love Mathematics.Our Department also provides small field trips like visiting orphanages,helping the poor and needy,we also get to host debates and extempore speech competitions.Taking Mathematics really helps me alot.And i also believe in future it will do me very good.I will be able to join my favorite companies,maybe join engineering, or get a phd and become a teacher as not many students are there in the Mathematics filed and not many teachers as well.

College experience for the first time

Likes

Clean campus and good behaviour by students
Clean canteens and good food for everyone
No ragging takes place in this college...

Dislikes

No extra curricular activities for morning batch
Asks too much money for events by the students

I chose this subject for my master's and this college is the best place to be in Shillong right now and I have to do my master's in this subject so I decided to go to this college where I can do my undergraduation

A normal average life of middle class boys in college

Likes

I love the course i took as i love accounting
I like the environment at college as people don't bother much about me
I love the library alot as i am a bookworm and also love to read novels and stories and poetries

Dislikes

I don't like the college right now because of it's ongoing structure, it looks messy
I don't like the people there as they glare at me with eyes of judgement
I don't talk to people or classmates at college and they just stare at me

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason that drove me to choose the course was my relative, he taught me so many wide field in commerce industry. Commerce goes all rounded in every sector of the world and economy. No areas for improvement because in my college the teachers are very expert and guidance is good. Time of exams are 3-4 hours and it's difficulty is based on the course and not specifically on general based courses.

st.anthony's college shillong, ever more , better ever

Likes

The campus is green with and also noise free
The faculty is good..most of them have completed their studies from reputed universities
Very diverse.. students from all over north east come here to study

Dislikes

The placement is just in name.. rarely you students getting placed
The library..there are not so many books
Parking..lack of parking space inside the campus

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placement from the first semester itself..Some of the companies that hire from this college are Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, Central bank of India, 2 LPA is the average package companies offer

The Campus , teachers friendly behavior , cleanliness .

Dislikes

Wearing a uniform to go to the college everyday.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it 8 out of 10 inn terms of number. As we know at present times no field is greater . Every field has its own significance. such as studying commerce is very practical in these times.It enables our practical thinking towards life.

THE TEACHERS ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND SUPPORTIVE. ALL FACULTY MEMBERS ARE HIGHLY QUALIFIED AND MOST OF THEM AREE IITIANS AND NITIANS. THEY ARE FRIENDLY.HARD WORKING AND PUTEFFORTS TOWARDS OUR UNDERSTANDING AND BENEFITS.
THE HOSTEL FACILITIES ARE ALSO QUITE GOOD. CLEAN WASHROOMS AND STRICT SECURITY ARE THE KEY POINTS. WE HAVE AROUND 12TOILETS AND BATHROOMS IN EACH FLOOR AND 1 HOSTEL HAS A CAPACITY OF ALMOST 200 STUDENTS.WARDEN AND SECURITY GUARDS ARE ALSO FRIENDLY.
THE CAMPUS IS A HUGE PIECE OF LAND AND SAID TO BE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS IN NORTH EAST. WITH 0 %POLLUTION,FULL GREENERY,CHERRY BLOSSOM,COLD WEATHER, IT IS A PERFECT PLACE FOR STUDENTS. THE CAMPUS IS PEACEFUL AND VERY CLEAN.

Dislikes

THE PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES ARE QUITE LESS AND HIGHEST PACKAGE IS COMPARATIVELY LOW AS ENGINEERS. THE HIGHEST PACKAGE FOR THIS YEAR WAS 800000 WHICH IS NOT TOO SATISFYING. ALSO VERY LESS STUDENTS ARE HIRED AND CHOSEN LEAVING MAJORITY STUDENTS.
HOSTEL MESS FOOD IS UNHYGIENIC AND UNSATIFYING. WE FIND INSECTS.HAIRS,STONES IN THE FOOD AND ALSO THE SAME MENU IS REPEATED AND NO NEW DISHES ARE AMDE WHIUCH IS VERY BORING. WE GET EGGS FOR 3 DAYS.CHICKEN FOR 2 DAYS ,FISH FOR 2 DAYS.
SINCE THE CAMPUS IS TOO HUGE, IT IS REALLY EXAUSTING TO WALK LONG DISTANCES .BUSES ARE PROVIDED AT CERTAIN TIME INTERVALS BUT AT TIMES BUSES ARE NOT AVAILABLE WE HAVE TO WALK MILES TO REACH ONE DESTINATION FROM ANOTHER ONE.

Placement Experience:

PLACEMENT OOPORTUINITIES HERE ARE NOT THAT SATISFYING. HOWEVER IT IS ALSO DIFFICUKT TO QUALIFY FOR THE INTERVIEWS AS 8.00 CGPA IS MANDATORY TO APPEAR IN INTERVIEWS. MAXIMUM OF 20 STUDENTS ARE PLACED EVRY YEAR WITH THE HIHEST PACKAGE OF 800000 PER ANNUM AND LOWEST PACKAGE OF 2.5 LAKHS PER ANNUM. MAJORITY STUDENTS ARE LEFT UNHIRED EVEN THOUGH THEY QUALIFY FOR THE INTERVIEWS. COMPAMIES LIKE AMZON,TCS, PURSUIT SOFTWARE,CORIZO EDUTECH,INDIGO AIRLINES,ETC VISIT US AND HIRE THE STUDENTS. ON THE 8TH SEMSESTER STUDNETS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR APPEARING IN CAMPUS PLACEMENT INTERVIEWS. AROUND 40% STUDENTS ARE HIRED IN THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF NEHU COMBINING ALL 4 BRANCHES.

Best private college of North East India..

There is no complain from my side till now as a loved the university and I think if you are sincere and hard working than this university will return you more than how much you have invested
Most of the people in the university are very friendly and the seniors are also good. There's AC facility in the whole campus
The teachers are very much experienced. They help us in many problems and guide us what we have to do.

Dislikes

Placement Experience:

There are many companies which visits the campus such as Google, big 4 , HDFC , ICCI , Bajaj , dell and many more.. Students can get placement from there last year .. Average package is 7-8 LPA ... Students scoring 7-8 cgpa gets good placement

My experience in shillong college

Likes

Ragging is totally restricted and there is no racism of cast or creed
The college surroundings are well maintained and it is very hygienic
The way of teaching is quite good and understandable

Dislikes

If there would be a college uniform than it would be better for all the students
The traffic outside the college gate is too much
Sone students make noise while others are having classes

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course which I am persuing is the history honours, history stands for the study of the world ancient history, studying history will help me to know more in detail about the world as we all know if we go through the root the we will able to understand the concept

My experience with BA hons Geography in Synod college

Likes

I like the beautiful campus of the college.
I like, the friendly nature of teachers.
I like how teachers are available all the time for the students.

Dislikes

I dislike the college canteens,the foods are not really good.
I hate the distance between my place stay and the college.
I dislike the unavailability of enough hostels and PG for boys near the college campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chosed for the Humanities and personally Geography is the best subject to know about the earth we live. The course offered us a detail study of every required information about the earth. Moreover it covered GIS and Remote which is an advanced approach of geography to understand earth. The only thing i felt concerning is that the results are released a bit late. Which release us from getting promoted to another semester.

my college conducts different types of fests and activities frequently
my college is very serious about academic performances
my college has good sports facilities and good campus

Dislikes

i dont like the rush in canteen.The canteen can improve more
even if there is good sports facilities there is no football ground
the campus is very beautiful but a little small for so many students

The cirruculum is quite relavant and up to date.I chose this course because there is good scope in my state. I beleive the curriculum prepares me well for my future,as they are feild related. The teachers can teach the students in a more details The frequency of exams are also well balances
