Placements are good but in this year due to recession there is decreased in placements . offers are good and there will good number of companies visited .
The faculty of indian institute of technology bhubaneswar are highly qualified faculty with phd the professors are really amazing at teaching.
Tution fee is around 114000 scholarships like fee remission and merit based are available for all students undertakings like fest management and societies are present for those who are interested in extra curricular activities.

Dislikes

Probably i don't have much things to dislike here but still i find lot of difficulties which conveying anything to an odia people.
The criteria of 75 percent attendance. this is the bitter truth that almost everyone hate this. but nobody can do anything right!
It's difficult a bit in cracking exam and 2nd year subjects need some more concentration to crack the exam.

Placement Experience:

From the beginning of the 4th year, i.e. from the 7th semester onwards, students are eligible for applying for campus placements. Many companies came for placements like ICICI bank, Oracle, etc. The highest package in the civil branch is 26 lakh and the average is 3lakh. This year more than 70 percent of students are placed. I plan to build a business and then make it a unicorn.

Placement Experience:

My alumni found full-time and internship positions with a wide range of international employers, including Adobe, Amazon, Infosys, HCL, Jindal Stainless Ltd, IOCL, Capgemini, KIIT, ISRO, Cognizant, DELL, Microsoft, Thermax, UHG, Flytxt Mobile Solutions, and TATA Steel. The packages offered were around Rs.1500,000 yearly.

IIT Bhubaneshwar Experience

Entrance Preview:

GATE and JEE (Mains and Advanced) were the two exams given by me. I scored well in both of them and got selected at two IITs, out of which I selected this one. I submitted my academic transcripts (class 12th scorecard, graduation degree, JEE, and GATE score), financial documents, and identity proof for verification.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements for 7 semesters. Many companies have visited. L & T - 9LPA, HCL - 10LPA, Amazon - Variable Razorpay = 14-16 LPA, Accenture - 7-10 LPA etc. Currently, I am focussing on my Job and hoping to achieve great heights in this field.

There were very less Ph.D. students who went for corporate jobs after completing the course. Most of them opted to work in research facilities government institutions. The highest CTC of the placement week, in general, went to Rs. 56 LPA. Both domestic and international companies participated in this week. Some of them were Goldman Sachs, GE India, Amazon, Honeywell, Adobe, Vedanta, GAIL, CDAC, TRAI, REC, and Tata Steel.

Sitting in the placement week of an IIT is like a dream for every IITian. Top international, domestic MNCs and conglomerates visit the campus for placements. The highest CTC of the week was Rs. 49 LPA. Most of the M.Sc students went for teaching jobs irrespective of the companies. The placement of the college is as per the IITs college standards the college does not upset us with the placement packages. If we have good skills and knowledge we are able to receive a good amount of placement offers and the faculty of the college also help us to gain good opportunities. The highest salary offer of the college was around 35 LPA and the average salary offer was approx 16 LPA the ROI I felt was quite good. Jaguar Land Rover, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, GE India, Honeywell, etc are the names of the companies that participated in the college placement drive.

Placement Experience:

I don't feel so that much is to describe or write about the college placement program. The college maintains a 100% placement record and the biggest plus point of the college is its placement committee that focuses on improving the college placement standards and quality. The highest placement offer of the college is around 55 LPA and the average salary offers is around 18 LPA. Few of the batchmates received pre-placement offers too.

The Centre of Entrepreneurship at IIT Bhubaneswar is pretty good and slowly developing. It was inaugurated on 20th June 2016 by Prof. R. V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar. The Department of Science & Technology and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India sanctioned 1.50 Crore for the establishment of this canter. The vision behind the establishment of this startup center was to have an enrollment of a minimum of 10 startups in the 1st year of its commencement. The facilities provided at the Centre of Entrepreneurship are food court facility, lodging facility, working/office space, internet facility, electricity facility, laboratory facility, mentoring services, and seed grant maximum up to 2.5 lakh. For the selection procedure, initiation letters for opening startups are yet to be given. Form A is for individuals and teams and form B is for Registered Units Ancillaries and Subsidiaries of establishment Firms. This cell can prove to be a good initiative provided the management and faculty implement innovative ideas too. The highlight of this center is their conduction of Esummit. It is a two-day event which hosted lectures by eminent personalities across various domains. The Centre of Entrepreneurship also organized a workshop on “Funding Opportunities and Legal Aspects of Startups” on 9 April 2016.
