Likes

Placements are good but in this year due to recession there is decreased in placements . offers are good and there will good number of companies visited .
The faculty of indian institute of technology bhubaneswar are highly qualified faculty with phd the professors are really amazing at teaching.
Tution fee is around 114000 scholarships like fee remission and merit based are available for all students undertakings like fest management and societies are present for those who are interested in extra curricular activities.

Dislikes

Probably i don't have much things to dislike here but still i find lot of difficulties which conveying anything to an odia people.
The criteria of 75 percent attendance. this is the bitter truth that almost everyone hate this. but nobody can do anything right!
It's difficult a bit in cracking exam and 2nd year subjects need some more concentration to crack the exam.

The IIT Bhubaneshwar Experience .

Likes

The Spacious Campus , The student Life , Of course my friends , and generally Everything.
The Fests are like a celebration and it just keeps getting better every year.
The Regional festivals are also celebrated on a very grand scale .

Dislikes

Nothing I dislike about my College as of now.
If It had to be one thing I would the NIRF ranking is low currently compared to other 2nd gen IITs but it very soon Improve.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did say that We have got a well updated Course for almost all Department a Very Big and beautiful campus with work being done almost everyday to improve it.The Professors are all well versed in their field and can help you with any particular field of research you are interested in.

Little Brief about IIT BHUBANESWAR

Likes

The most I liked is about only one person for single room in hostel.
Sports facilities like there are cricket , football grounds , etc....
Mainly if you are a fresher it is a ragging free campus.

Dislikes

I don't like that the food provides in the hostel.
There will less no of shops to buy some things like necessities.
It is far from my house, if there is an emergency it will be somewhat difficult to communicate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

After seeing many people and the present situation I chose EE and I went into detail about the course and it is very well based on logic and thinking which i like more and creating new projects.IIT BBS currently has a ratio of 22:1 which is good but not excellentt and whatever we have they teaches well upto the mark.All the faculty has been very well qualified to be in their particular position.There will be mid sem and end sem exams which are very easy is to pass . There will be easy questions based on teacher's choice and also which are enough to pass.

Nice college

Likes

Campus area which is very big and we can be chill anywhere
Football ground where I will stay 1hour everyday
canteens located around the hostels are also good.

Dislikes

there is no swimming pool which is under construction
Not a dislike but campus is in constructing phase
No cricket ground is there which is grown up by trees

Placement Experience:

From semester 5 or 6 students are eligible for campus placements. There are a total of 234 offers were made and Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung, HP, Bharat petroleum, brane, and more came . The highest package was 64 LPA and the average was around 22 LPA .93% were getting placed. I plan to do higher studies after getting my degree.

the collage is nice to roam. As the collage is large there are many places to visit especially the main building infrastructure is too good.
Sac is a place where the students use to play itis also good
the culture is very good we can get good friends.

Dislikes

Food is the thing that i don't like there is no proper place to eat.

from semester 6 the students are eligible for campus placements the companies visited our camous are Google, Zomato, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipcart and many top start up companies . this year as of now rheare are 250 members placed. the highest package is 64LPA and average package is 22LPA CTC. Almost 95 percent of people in CSE branch get placed. My plan is to do an software developer job.

Enjoy the way you need after joining IIT

Likes

Hostel rooms and hostel washrooms mainly are very clean and hygiene.

Dislikes

Mess food is not so good and we can't satisfy completely with it.
Also I am interested in playing cricket but the proper cricket ground is not ready.
There is no proper recognition of our college much.

Placement Experience:

In semester 6 students are eligible meanwhile you can applied off campus . There are totally 276 placements were made as of now and Microsoft , Google , goldmansach , brane , hp , Bharat petroleum and many companies came . highest package is around 64Lpa and average is nearly 21LPA CTC. Percentage of students getting placed is 94 . After degree I want to live in my dream as machine learning expert.

Dream College for every student

College Atmosphere which was very good surrounded with lots of trees and you get jungle vibe at night
Hostels are very well maintained such a neat washrooms and rooms are single occupancy
Finally best proffesors we got for studying and learn new things

Dislikes

Cricket ground is not there and still work was going on it
Mess food was not so good and i am not satisfying with that.
Not a dislike but our college was in developing stage still many constructions are going on .

Placement Experience:

From semester 6 students are eligible for campus placements meanwhile you can apply for off-campus if you are more interested . This year as of now 219 are placed and 31 received PPOs till week 2 of placements this year. Many companies came such as Salesforce, Google, JLR, oracle, Zomato, Accenture, brane, HP, Bharat Petroleum, Meda Net, etc. The highest package is 64LPA and the average is nearly 20LPA CTC. My plan is to get a dream job as a game developer and in our branch CSE 93 percent of students are getting placed

Good facilities for extra curricular activities like sports and arts
Different kinds of clubs that are not just tech related but also from various other fields
Placement statistics are solid and very promising.

Dislikes

Hostel food and generally food options has to improve in the campus
Lots of unused space on campus which need to be put to good use
Administration side is not great..paying semester fees and completing registration is a tough job

Placement Experience:

From third year students can sit for placement on campus. Many companies visit campus like Amazon Flipkart Microsoft accenture.the exact figures are listed on college website.This year highest package has been 64lakh per annum.Nearly 95% students get placed on campus.I hope to be placed after my course .

Lecture hall complex is the place I liked most
Student activitiy centre is the place I liked most

Dislikes

The campus was not maintained properly and it is still in construction
The grounds of respective sports are not maintained properly

The 7 and 8 semester students are eligible for campus placements the company's visited to our college is Accenture,dell, Flipkart,etc . The highest package as per company and profiles offered is 64 LPA and average package is17.5LPA till now 80% of students getting placements . I want to pursue mtech in materials engineering.

There is nothing to dislike in the campus . Once you will get the college you will enjoy here .

Placement Experience:

For btech student placement is done in 7th semester and for dd students placement is done in 9th semester. Highest package from our college is 64 lpa and average package depends on your branch and percentage placement also depends on your branch.

Likes

Student activity centre is amazing where we perform all our sports activity. It is aplace where we dump our stress.
Lecture hall complex is beautifully designed
Hostels are amazing. It is like 5 stars hotel.Washrooms are amazing.

Dislikes

It is still under construction. Some more times wil be required to develop it's infrastructures.
It takes exams during the festivals. It even don't gives holiday of more than 2 days in festivals like Diwali.
It is far from main city Bhubaneswar. It takes to time to go to city area.

Placement Experience:

Yes our campus provide placements and it is nice. AVERAGE PACKAGE is around 20lpa which is quite good. From the 7th semester they are eligible for placements. There are many companies which comes to our college for placements like Google,BPCL,HPCL,etc Almost 85-90%of students get placed and rest go for further studies and government job(PSUs)

The Centre of Entrepreneurship at IIT Bhubaneswar is pretty good and slowly developing. It was inaugurated on 20th June 2016 by Prof. R. V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar. The Department of Science & Technology and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India sanctioned 1.50 Crore for the establishment of this canter. The vision behind the establishment of this startup center was to have an enrollment of a minimum of 10 startups in the 1st year of its commencement. The facilities provided at the Centre of Entrepreneurship are food court facility, lodging facility, working/office space, internet facility, electricity facility, laboratory facility, mentoring services, and seed grant maximum up to 2.5 lakh. For the selection procedure, initiation letters for opening startups are yet to be given. Form A is for individuals and teams and form B is for Registered Units Ancillaries and Subsidiaries of establishment Firms. This cell can prove to be a good initiative provided the management and faculty implement innovative ideas too. The highlight of this center is their conduction of Esummit. It is a two-day event which hosted lectures by eminent personalities across various domains. The Centre of Entrepreneurship also organized a workshop on “Funding Opportunities and Legal Aspects of Startups” on 9 April 2016.
