Likes

Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.

Dislikes

Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

Why to choose Vssut?

Likes

Campus is very big.Faculties are also very supportive.
Clubs and sports facilities are quite good.
Laboratory are well maintained and equipped with modern technology.

Dislikes

Hostel intime for 1st year student is just 6:30 pm.
Mess food is not so good,and badminton court is not maintained
Gym facilities are not provided in hostels.

Placement Experience:

Placement are quite good.Some branches offers 98-100 percent placement and average placement goes around 85 percent.The college has a good alumni network so off campus placements are also good.Internships facilities are also provided.

My experience in VSSUT

Likes

Faculty over here are quite experienced and good at teaching
New building and facilities are constructed for class rooms and labs
There are so many clubs so you can explore in many directions

Dislikes

Some labs are in not good condition and some of equipment doesn't work properly
The distance between hostel and college is around 1km so you get tired
Food quality in mess is not up to the mark

Placement Experience:

As I'm in chemical engineering branch companys like jsw, jk paper, vedanta come here for placement. You can prepare for Gate exam if you are interested in PSU or higher studies.In the year 2022 39 students got placed out of 80 students

It is nice college for students.

Likes

Environment here in vssut burla is very nice
Senior and junior interaction is very friendly
Faculty in vssut are very excellent and good.

Dislikes

Hostel facility is not good and mess is avg
Club orientation time and semester time table
Exam schedule timings and program in college is very deley some time.

Placement Experience:

From 8th semester students are eligible for the campus placement Nalco, jsw, Wipro , Cisco , Infosys and Deloitte and many more they are giving package like 7 to 17 lakh Highest package is 17 lakh and avg package is 3 lakh 80% student getting placement

My experience of vssut

Likes

The infrastructure of our university is huge and clean
The attitude and behaviour of the teachers
The environment is full of greeny and it's peaceful.

Dislikes

In the campus there are certain places which needs cleaning.
The behaviour of some of the seniors is not quite pleasant.
The lab assistants were frustrated most of the times.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the campus were quite fair .The average package in the campus is Rs-600000.I have planned m.tech for future. But the placement in my branch is like good. The highest package was 4700000 per year in 2023.

Likes

I like the better and experienced teacher in this college.
College provides sufficient place for classes.
College provides also smart boards in every classes.

Dislikes

Sometimes teachers becomes very rude in classes.
Benches are not in good condition. It was broken somewhere.
Need to modify the colours of classes and design.

Placement Experience:

Placement are better in this college. From the 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Package is around 3-30 lakh amount. Around 85% of students get placement in this college. After getting degree my plans are for higher studies.

Likes

The greenery of the campus excited me the most.
There are landscapes surrounding the campus such as there is a lake behind the e-Learning centre in the campus and is surrounded by mountains.
The competitiveness of the college excites mein to participate and development own personality.

Dislikes

The hostel food here is not up to the mark.
There are seniors who show dominance over first year.
1st year students are not treated well in the first semester.

Placement Experience:

The placement of college is good about 80% of the placement student get placed in companies with 8.5 lakhs per annum. The training and placement cell has a major role in placement of all the students and various companies.

The college is located around the various tourist places
The college very broad and consists of around 500 acres
The the college is covered with various greenery and the environment is very clean and green

Dislikes

Our our college professors are very strict
Our our college has raging culture seniors are quite strict
I I don't like the hostel facilities at all as they sir very untidy food

Placement Experience:

Our College placements are quite good the average packages around 10 lakh per annum and around 8285% of the students get placed companies like Infosys Tata Power Rourkela Steel Plant nalco et cetera come to our placements

I like the location of our college IIT is near greenery and there are many sides to Rome
The college fees is quite affordable and it is very cheap
Our college area consists of many tourist places around it

Dislikes

Our seniors are not yet friendly as they are very strict
Our college is very strict about the rules and regulations
Our teachers just come to college and scroll the PPT

Placement Experience:

Our College placements are quite good at is it it is around 80% from my branch of total and the average LP is around 7 lakhs per annum and and the ratio of the students getting placed in the company is very good the companies which come in our college are TCS in forces Tata Power etc

I likes the place that my college is located in
I like the campus very much there is a lot of greenery
and it is nearer to my house approx 150 km

Dislikes

There is a little ragging culture in our college
Seniors are a bit strict and not friendly
Teachers are good but they don't provide us with Materials to study

Placement Experience:

From sixth semester students are eligible for campus placement. Tcs , tata power, Jindal ,etc are the companies that visit during placement. Approx 80% of the people from our branch get placed and overall

Infrastructure of college is nice. Green campus.
Environment of these area is very adaptable.
Professor are very friendly and helpful.

Dislikes

The environment is good but outside the campus little bit messy .
Some assistant of lab are quite angry sometime
Improper manner of some students with girls

Placement Experience:

From 6th-7th semister placement start in our college.Vedantu, Infosys,TCS are very consistent in our college in terms of placement.highest pakage in our college is 47LPA and average pakage is 6-7 LPA. approx 70% of students got placed. My plan is to do MTech.

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same

VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations

Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
