Likes

Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.

Dislikes

Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

VSSUT in a nutshell

Likes

I like the college campus. Here along with the college we have library, canteen etc.
Also I like the college environment here.
In college we have 24*7 electricity facility.

Dislikes

I don't like the climatic conditions here.
This is the only problem for me with the college.
Hostel food is not properly hygiene and maintained.

Placement Experience:

The college campus in VSSUT takes place during the 6th semester and the average placement here is 6-7 lack per annum. INFOCSIS is the most consistent company approaching here in terms of placement here. Almost 70n% of students gets placement here every year.

Friendly and cooperative faculties who are always ready to help.
The administration is awesome.They manage the college very efficiently.

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and lots of theory classes and frequent exams.

Placement Experience:

A good number of companies visit the college for placements. Students get a good number of chances to show their skills and get placed.The average package is around 6lakhs and highest package is 48 lakhs.Around 70%students get placed every year.

Likes

Lab facilies which provide us practical knowledge.
Administration of the University is pretty good.It handles the university smoothly.
Supportive faculties who are always ready to help you out.

Dislikes

Hectic class schedules and regular theory classes.
The writing of lab manuals and assignments.

Placement Experience:

A good number of companies visit the college. Students get lot of opportunity of getting placed. Around 60-70% students get placed every year. The average package is around 6lakhs and highest package is 48lakhs

The real VSSUT

Likes

The club activities are very engaging and it gives us practical knowledge which I like.
The campus is lush green and it is surrounded by natural scenic places.
I got many similar enthusiast minds to vibe with.

Dislikes

The frequent exams are very tiring. More focus is on exam than teaching.
The restrictions imposed on first years students are unreasonable.
The college management is very slow and chaotic for students.

Placement Experience:

The placements are good for non-IT core branches as very less IT companies are coming to hire students. About 50 percent of eligible students get placed every year. The average package is nearly four lakhs per annum and the highest package stands at 17 lpa.

I liked the college environment as it provides a Greenery campus.
I liked the infrastructure of the college, clubs and fests.

Dislikes

The cons about the college is that it has open campus and the seniors are little bit rude.
Development phase is still going on that is many buildings are under construction.

7th semester students are eligible for campus placement, the companies that comes for campus placement are tata, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package was provided with a salary of 1800000, average package is of 800000. About 60% of students get placed. My plans after getting degree is to clear gate exam and get job in Psu.

Our college is Best

Likes

Faculty members are very friendly towards the students.
The club experience is very nice here and so many things are here to explore
Our college has a good system of antiragging. It helps the students very much.

Dislikes

The college has a open campus that's why it has some disadvantages.
Mess food quality can be better sometimes.
Infrastructure can be better according to its reputation and prestige.

Yes placement record is good. Last year in mechanical engineering there are 100 placements from the total 120 students. And in other branches also there are good placement records. In ETC branch there is highest of 47 lpa. And overally the placement is good in our college.

Closed should be there ,mess food , campus

The Most Amazing Things are Clubs those compete with other colleges and are doing very well
The campus is very clean and tidy Also have decent Greenery with developed Infrastructure
The faculty Here is Very nice irrespective of any branch

Hostel Mess food can be better for veg days

The Placements are quite Good for Core branches as well as Non core .! Various Companies visits Here.. such as Maruti Suzuki L&T Jindal Steel and Power Hindalco Tata Steel Vadanta TCS Many other companies visit but above are very regular companies , almost 65 percent students get on campus placements

Navigating the college admission maze

Likes

The most amazing things are clubs. And the greenary present here.
The large campus area, the food quality.
All the facilities members, the fests, and the canteen food.

Dislikes

The mess food could be better for atleast the freshers
The college infrastructure could be improved.
The gymnasium present here in the college campus

Placement Experience:

The placements in our college is quite good. And the average package is around 600000 to 700000. Many companies are come here for the placements like l&t, Maruti Suzuki, Jindal steel and power, Tata steel, Tcs etc.

Overall Review of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology @VSSUT

Likes

Active operation of Clubs and working on different and innovative projects.
Lab infrastructure and facilities available for gaining field experience and research work
Faculties and administration is supportive and efficient. The way Administration department controls the college is remarkable.

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and syllabus of first year as we have to study subjects of all branches.
There are lots of restrictions on first year student and we have to proper formals.

Placement Experience:

Lot's of company visit the college and there are good opportunities available for the students to get placed. But Students have to work hard and gain skills instead of sticking to curriculum only. One has to develop personal skills also.

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same

VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations

Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
