- Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
- The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
- Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
- The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
- The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

- Hostel didn't have good gym facility,have very less equipment
- Hostel entry timming in first year is very less.You might have to give reason for late entry
- Mess food of someday are really very bad
Placement Experience:
From 2nd year you can expect internship but your skills should be very good.From 3rd year you will be able to get PPO.Around 80-90 companies come to provide placement.Recently vssut burla has given very large number of placement in mechanical engineering 158 students were placed in first round and 160 is the strength of mechanical students.You can expect 85-90 percent placement.

- Sanskriti college is known for its western style infrastructure which is fully furnished also looks attractive.
- specially because of many supportive teachers and mentor who guide students to crake the placement interviews.
Dislikes
- Boring professors, large classes, stressful exams, and assignments that are pointless
- Being away from home for the first time, having to take care of oneself, and dealing with schooling and a job at the same time
Course Curriculum Overview:
Because no other good college was available for my rank.
It is preparing me fine.
The facilities are good but sometimes they act harsh to the students.the infrastructure are very old about 50yrs old and should be replaced by new machines.

- The environment. The campus lies in lush greenery. It is near Hirakud dam. So there are many tourist spots.
- The seniors. The seniors are quite good and help ful .
- The cost of education is very low . It is very reasonable
Dislikes
- Campus is not confined. It is an open campus.
- The hostel food for first year students is very bad.
- The ragging culture of past. Which makes this place scary.
Placement Experience:
The core branch placements are good. Mechanical took most of the placements this year. While circuital branch placements are not quite good. From our branch most of the students opt for higher studies as chemical Engg branch has high research opportunities.

- Few faculty members are not very cooperative
- Slow administrative and official processes
Placement Experience:
Yes there is campus placement but the opportunities and circuital branches is little bit higher. There is also placements for core branches but you need to work hard to get one. Off campus opportunities are also great because you get a great alumni network over the country

- Its a very old college so here some issue regarding ragging

After third semester u are eligible for sit in placements.. Wipeo tcs, Amazon , TA TA POWER and many more good companies visited.
Highest placement 18 lpa and average 3.5 lpa.minimum 60 percent student every year get placed

- The environment and location. It is located in lush green campus and near the hirakud dam.
- The different and vibrant clubs. These clubs offer opportunity that the college somehow musses to provide.
- The freinds that become family. In the harsh conditions of this college what the best thing can happen is the friends with whom you can survive this engineering life.
Dislikes
- The hostel and mess. There is corruption in the mess. The mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
- The seniors. They induce very much strains on the class crs that is mental harrasment. People fall sick due to mental pressure here.
Placement Experience:
Placements are very good incase of core branches. IT companies doesn't come very much though. For my branch many students get placement and also many students go for higher studies as chemical engineering is an emerging brnach in case of research and development.

- Placement is also good, the average package is 700000
- Infrastructure is also good and our faculty is also good and helpful.
Dislikes
- Chemical and civil student's placement is not so good.
- There has a huge crowd during the laboratory.
- Our course fees is much high . Academic fees-41040+Hostal fees -48000 for 1 year
Placement Experience:
After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements
JSW-9, vedanta-9, wipro-34, TCS-38, Amazon-1 and etc
Amazon gave higest package 400000
Average is 700000
Approx 70 percent student get placement
Preparation for Gate to become a drdo officer

- The exposure, professor, friends, infrastructure
- Group discussion, Playing with friends and campus life .
Dislikes
- Ragging, seniors, mess menu and practical
- Lab equipments, too many classes, homework
Placement Experience:
From 6th semester student get opportunity to crack placements .The companies visited are Tpwodl, L&T, Maruti Suzuki, Tata motors. The highest package from college placement is 1600000 and average package is 700000.

- What I found is there are good classrooms
- There are also good qualified faculties around the globe
- There is lot of funding from the state government
Dislikes
- No proper management system in the hostels
- There are no proper sports and gym facilities
- Core branches should be focused more for good outputs overall
Placement Experience:
After your 3rd year,students get eligible to sit in campus placements, there are lot of companies who visit our college and hire good number of people with beautiful packaged but most of the chunk is from CSE,IT,ETC branches . You could say the average package would be around 8-10 lpa and most of the students get placed in good companies

- Hostel facility. Lift , washing machine these are available that's a good thing in a govt institute.
- Faculty members. Because their behaviour towards student is very good.
- The opportunity through the clubs that are available in college.
Dislikes
- Hostel food quality. It can be better or improved.
- It is a off campus college. So there have been more chance of any bad thing.
- Infrastructure. Infrastructure can be better because it was a reputed institute.
Placement Experience:
Yes placement record is good. Last year in mechanical engineering there are 100 placement from the total 120 students. And in other branch also there are good placement records. In ETC branch there is highest placement of 47 lpa. And overally the placement is good in our college.

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same
- VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
- The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
- The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
- VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
- The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations
Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
