GNDU Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Because of its scope in govt jobs. Faculty was less in starting but now with time, things have been improved. The faculty is quite experienced and friendly in nature. All faculty members are Ph.D. qualified and the teaching method is good. Term exams were on time but now due to corona, these are usually delayed. Subject content is large in quantity, but if you study them from the beginning things are much easier.

From 7semester student, become s eligible for placement. Some of the companies that offer placements are TCS, Wipro, ICICI bank, Asix bank, Byjus and Bandhan bank. The percentage of getting placement is high 75%student get the placement every year. My plan after getting a degree to get a crack SSC exam and I am not in favour of doing MSc until 2 years because I want to give 2 years for myself to crack the SSC exam.

I am not able to explain about the placement of agriculture as I am in 4 sem and in the first batch of agriculture in the university. It should be good. The percentage of students should be greater than 70. After graduation, the plans were in search of a job.

For the second last to last semester, you become eligible for campus placement. Wipro, LIC, HDFC, TATA, Nestle, Amul, Verka, Intel etc are companies that come for campus placement. The average package is 3 lakh per year while the highest package may vary from 7 to 15 lakh. Around 70 to 80% of students got placements each year. I wanted to pursue MSc in Plant Breeding and Genetics.

The students are eligible from last year or semester to apply for campus placements. There are many companies that came to campus for placements. Some of the companies are like BYJU'S , Lenskart,123 startup, Whitehat Jr. , AXA consultants etc. Some of the banks that offered placements were Capital small finance bank, Bank of America etc. The highest Package offered was around 8 to10 Lakh and the average package was around 3 to 4 lakhs.

Because it was near my house and wanted to do my graduation near my city only and PG outside Punjab. College is only having hype , it is not worth it . Poor infrastructure and some professor's are only good and cooperative . College collects huge fines and mostly money minded.

Every year Placement Drive is organized for students. Many companies visit our college. Students appear in interviews and get a chance to interact with multi-level companies. Many students got placement in good companies and production houses. Some students from Animation Department have also worked in Jumanji and Bahubali movies.

Our college doesn't have Engineering and MBA so placement sections came for very specific courses like for labs and commerce section. The placement included giving packages varying from 2lpa - 4lpa. But most of the students opted for higher studies than placements and our college gave employment too to the students. After they completed their post-graduation with good marks, they can teach in the same college.

Different courses have different placements. As there was no placement came at that time for our course. But our own campus offered the jobs to students after completing the course. The percentage for getting placement in our own campus was above 60%.

Good Aspects- The university has good placement record, beautiful campus, social clubs, techfest and mainly i got my favorite stream.Bad Aspects- Not Good Faculty, Outdated curriculum, Bad Lab Infrastructure. Admission Process- You need to apply for counselling before 10 June and counselling will be conducted after 10- 15 days and the course will start by 15 July. I used Quora for getting my doubts cleared and thats why I applied for this university
