Likes

They are very good, the helps every times, all department faculty members are well educated, their behavior is very good.
*there is an increase in tution fee every year but very small amount , and nothing to worry about it *120000 *ffe - 50000 nsp-20000-100000 and many other scholarship are availabel but these are very better
There are like 140 companies visited our college for placement and top companies like google, amazon, fan companies will be visited here.

Dislikes

The mess is worst in the collage... and one of the hostel is very bad and not dirsty
The placement rate is very less now . so this is one of the reason i don't like about this college
On campus senerio is not that much good & companies are visiting less for the intership.

The overall college is really good you will enjoy a lot

Likes

Different clubs and cultural activities they do for the students are good and the ambience is really good
Technical clubs are really good and having good name and prestige in the whole india
The faculties are really good and helpful they help us in every situation

Dislikes

The administration is really really hectic and they used to like maintain 75% attendance that is really active

Fees and Financial Aid:

tuition tuition fee is like it will depends on the early income of your family if it's lower than 1 lakh there are some subsidies and if it's like between 1 to 5 legs there different subsidies and if it's over 5 or 8 legs the fee is really really high it's like 72 80k for each and every semester and the if I talk about the hostel fee the hostel fees around 30000 semester

Let's know all about NIT Agartala

Likes

NIT Agartala is good for CSE, ESE and EIE branch students. Almost 80-90% got placed from these branches
The sports facilities in NIT AGARTALA are of top quality. The Atal Bihari Vajpayee sports complex are very big on area
The hostel facilities of NIT AGARTALA are of top class. There are 3 hostels. Aryabhatta, RNT and Gargi.

Dislikes

The location of NIT AGARTALA is not good from my experience. The city is about 20-24 kms away from institute.
The professors are not up to mark. Around 90-95% professors there are from locals.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are getting offered for college placements. There are total 300-400 companies visit in our college and make around 600-700 offers. I got placed in ORC ENGINEERING having a LPA of 2.5-3.5 . The highest package of 2024 year is round 40 lakhs and average package is roughly around 5 LPA. Around Total 60% students placed this year. My next plan is to prepare for gate exams along with my jobs.

Everything is better according to my choices

I like firstly campus of my college which was very beautiful as I assume before reaching campus.
Environment of campus is totally free from polution.
Placement opportunities are very good in core branches.

Dislikes

First disliked thing which I think is location of campus
College canteen are not good for vegetarian
Academic building for freshers is not good otherwise for senior it is good

Placement Experience:

Student after 6 six semester are eligible for placement and placement percentage vary branchwise circuital branches have high placement percentage compared to core branch Highest package of this year is 52 lakh and my plan after getting degree is to do job in automobile industry.

A Good College

Likes

The infrastructure is good with seperate buildings for seperate departments helping students to focus on that particular field of interest
The faculty is highly qualified with a bunch of them having international degrees or work experiences abroad.
The faculty tries their best to impart the knowledge and skills required by the students to be good engineers. The concepts are taught thoroughly and in case of doubts, revisited and revised multiple times till the concept seems clear to everyone.

Dislikes

While infrastructure is good, there can be a little more shift towards maintaining them
The mess food needs improvement for the most part.

Placement Experience:

Students can sit for placement from 3rd year itself. Though it is highly unlikely that placement offers come in 3rd year as it comes mostly in 4th year, but there has been cases where 3rd year students also get placed. Besides placement, one can even get good internships which based upon their performance can later get turned to a placement offer. Many good companies have visited and have hired students from this college.

Honest review of NIT Agartala

Likes

The perks of being in a national instiute is that you great a good friends circle who really motivates you to study and work hard
NIT Agartala has a really hug campus . Its covered with greenery and its quite refreshing to be there
Hostels are really great specially RNT Hostel . It feels like a hotel

Dislikes

The location is bit far from main city . Its approximately 20kms from the main city
Faculties and professors are average . It mainly depends on the branch . Some branch have really great teachers whereas some branches donot have
Course curriculum is outdated and its the fault of overall education system

Placement Experience:

Placements oppurtunity is really great . Colleges offer a decent placement . Our branch has avg package of 8 lakhs per annum . famous recruiters are hcl, tcs, capegemi, vedanta, reliance, samsung,amdocs

Talking about the clubs, generally all the mandatory clubs like NCC, NSS

Placement Experience:

in 8th semester studemnts are eligible for placements the companies that visit our college Mahindra , ISRO, Gail, BHEL , NTPC ,DRDO, Wipro etc. Mahindra - 2000000 ISRO - 800000 WIPRO - 900000 our college has 67% of the placements ratio i will opt for GATE exam

A student's perspective of NIT Agartala

Likes

NIT Agartala organizes various cultural and technical events including AAYAM (technical fest) and MOKSHA(cultural fest) which helps students with opportunities to showcase their talent and interact with students of other institutions.
NIT Agartala has a beautiful campus spread over an area of approximately 365 acres, providing ample space for laboratories, hostels, health centre, cafeteria, etc. It is surrounded by plants and trees which helps you connect with the environment.
NIT Agartala has a great alumni network who contribute to the development of the Institute and help current student with mentorship and career guidance and opportunities.

Dislikes

Climate conditions is hot and humid in NIT Agartala for the major part of the year which is uncomfortable for many of the students.
There is an occasional issues with network and internet connectivity, which is very important for academic and research activities. Also student are provided with limited 2 GB internet data per day which is usually not sufficient for students.
NIT Agartala being located in Tripura, it is less accessible compared to other institutions located in urban areas. Students usually prefer taking flights to reach here, which is quite costly.

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placement after sixth semester. Gennerally, students who maintained their cgpa above 7.5 gets placed. There were many companies which visited for placements. Software firms such as Oracle, Nvidia, Paypal, Seimens, Paytm, Rapido, Mathworks, Dell, Qualcomm, Chargebee, etc. Core manufacturing companies such as Vedanta oil and gas, Dalmia, Maruti suzuki, CEAT tyres, Ashok Leyland, etc. The percentage rate of placement is around 85%. The highest package is INR 52 LPA offered to CSE and EE branch students. Also Oracle offered placements to around 20 students with CTC of INR 35 LPA. Average package of CSE if INR 14.5 LPA whereas for ECE, it is INR 13.84 LPA. After getting the degree, my plan is to get good placement from the college where i can get good work experience and also i am planning to do masters from IIt for which i will prepare for gate examination.

My journey through NIT Agartala

Likes

All the faculties were cooperative and they used to teach us with so much valuable aspects and also helped us in many situations
The staffs of the exam section,Dean section were also very co operative and helpful

Dislikes

The infrastructure of our department wasn't good our department building was very old with no proper water supply system
There was no water in the bathroom of our department hence we had to use the bathroom of other departments and also there was not a single drinking water supply in the department
The College buses are very poor in condition with no light inside it and during the rainy season the buses use to be filled with water

Placement Experience:

As nowadays recession is going all over our country but still the placement of our college this year has been quite good with almost 700 placements and an avarage salary of 7 to 8 lpa But most of the companies nowadays allows only circuit branches but still the placement of our branch was also good

Likes

Campus infrastructure is good and awesome.
Way of teaching of our faculty is unique and very informative.
Library infrastructure is unique and its beauty is awesome.

Dislikes

Hostel mess provides worst quality of food.
Sometimes we did not get any help from our dean wherever required.
Some laboratory equipments were not properly work.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements were good in previous year of our batch. But in our batch worst placement were happened because of recession. Most students did not get job from our college. They are sitting for govt. job exams, some are doing mba, mtech etc.

Based on the experience of a friend here are some points regarding NIT Agartala

Honestly, NIT Agartala is not at par with the standard of the Institute of National Importance. The administration and faculties do not give students access to the facilities.
Most of the faculties have no teaching abilities , and there is a huge communication gap between students and professors.
Students are not allowed to do projects from the second year and it's also very hard to get a good CGPA.
Only the CSE and ECE departments have modern infrastructure and the rest of the departments are not taken care of. There is also bias in how students of different branches are treated.
The hostel facilities of the institute are excellent and the buildings are beautifully designed. However, students are restricted from bringing basic electrical equipment to boil milk, water, and heat Maggie.
The tender of the mess food always goes to the same company and students constantly lodge complaints regarding the quality of the food.
The institute has a 75% attendance policy that many find illogical and rigid.

Overall, NIT Agartala will give you a lot of good memories and friends but is still lacking on the academic front.
