The college faculty is really very amazing. they are really passionate about their domain subjects.

Dislikes

Placements are very good but as recession is hurting every job there is the placements have fallen down a bit.
The campus life is quite bad compared to other indian institute of technology because the infrastructure is quite old and bad here and appears dull tbh.
Mess food is also stupid bad, its affordable, at only 15k per semester, but the quality is really bad.

IIT BHU a close review

Likes

Presence of bank, parks, temple inside the campus is best thing which IIT BHU provide.
Acadmics at IIT BHU is easy hence it allow student to enjoy their life.
Placement at IIT BHU is very good. Every year the no. of offer are rapidly increasing.

Dislikes

Unavablity of washing machine in hostel is one of the thing that i do not like.
3 member has to accomodate in 1 room in hostel is the other thing that i do not lile.
Lack of water filter in campus is the other thing that i do not like.

Placement Experience:

Around 85-90 % of student are placed. This year the highest package was 1.68 crore , average package was 33 lakh and median 30 lakh and lowest 12 lakh. Top recuriter were GOOGLE , AMAZON , JAGUAR , ORAClE , etc. This year around 353 paid internship were offered. The average package of internship was around 60000. My plans after getting the degree is perepare for UPSC CSE and acheive my dream Job.

IIT BHU a close review

Likes

Campus was very good and beautiful hence a nice view
Gives a good faculty which are friendly at helping students
Good meal and seniors also which will also help you in any situation

Dislikes

Campus is open and hence sometimes it becomes hectic.
BHU students at Birla road are something which should be avoided.
Things are expensive around the IIT BHU and ag Hyderabad gate too

Placement Experience:

Third year students generally do knterns and 4 year students gets pre placement offers and also get placed too.. Google,Microsoft.Accenture,Range Rover. This year 474 offers were made in which 305 of them get placed .

The highest package often reaches around INR 1.5 crore, while the average hovers around INR 15 lakhs per annum. A significant percentage of students secure placements, showcasing the institute's strong connect with the industry. Placement percentage of 2023 batch is 80 % Personally, I plan to pursue postgraduate studies to delve deeper into my field of interest. The robust training and exposure at IIT BHU have equipped me with a strong foundation, making me confident about future endeavors beyond campus placements.

College : The life changer

Likes

I like the spirituality here . The Vishwanath temple is located inside the campus .
The greenery here , there are many tree and plants all over the campus.

Dislikes

It also causes lot of traffic in our campus
It also leads to theft of cycles from the campus itself

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as I had interest in computer and ih has high demand in future as well. There is a decent faculty student ratio and most of the faculty encourage students for any doubts . They have a good teaching methods and ask kind of questions within the class as well.. The academic and exam are not difficult. If a student has attend all classes than he can easily get 9+cgpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course in this Institute because of the package and the opportunities a person can get in any IIT. Teaching faculty is about 350 whereas total no. of students are about 6000. Term exams are in every 2 months gap . It is not so very hard to pass .

Placement stats are really good as compared to other colleges in India.
Amazing peer group as students here had cracked the toughest exam.
Excellent location of college in the city of Varanasi.

Dislikes

Campus is open for outsiders also,only IITANS should be allowed
Infrastructure is not good as compared to the newer IITs.
Placement stats are not good for the lower branches.

Placement Experience:

College provides on-campus placements for final year students. If we talk about the placements stats,this 2023 has been a year of recession placement stats came down in every college.But despite of this IIT BHU has about 90% placement which is among the best in the country. Average package this year remains about 18 Lakhs. My branch placements stats are really good so I am targetting my placements.

In my academic journey, campus placements have been a significant consideration for future prospects. A myriad of reputable companies have visited our campus, providing diverse opportunities. Notable companies like Microsoft, google , pfizer have been regular recruiters. The number of offers made each year varies, with a substantial percentage of students securing placements. The highest package offered, often in roles like [mention roles], is commendable, while the average package is competitive, reflecting the overall success of placements. The percentage of students securing placements is impressive, showcasing the effectiveness of the placement cell and the relevance of our curriculum to industry demands. There is nothing much to dislike about the college except for the mess food

Basically I chose this course because of the package . The student ration in my class is good it is around 20 percent. The faculty members are awesome their teaching method is a bit casual the exams surprised me the most we just studied one day before the exams and they went well( only if you attend the the classes regularly).

College life during fest is the best thing
Placements and internship opportunities.
Competitive environment, Culture , clubs, and most important this city.

Dislikes

Integrated campus with BHU , anyone can enter our campus as if it is a tourist place.
Security of students are being compromised
Academic pressure due to lots of assignments and exams

Placement Experience:

In 7 th semester various companies visits campus for campus placements. Around 300-400 companies visits for campus placements every year . Companies like APT portfolio, GOOGLE, Microsoft, Sprinklr, Oracle, HUL, ITC, Media.net ,Flipkart , Amazon ,Meesho ,swiggy ,Zomato ,Samsung are some of the top recruiters.Almost every student get placed, Packages varies from 7lpa to around 2 cr/pa.

My friend is an alumnus of IIT-BHU and he was a member of the Kashi Utkarsh too. He claims the organization is doing really well in eradicating the prevalent social constraints through the collective efforts of the group. The body convinces the financially weak families living in Varanasi slums to send their children to schools with the help of KU funding.

As easy as this may sound, the actual process is very tiring. The families are hell-bent against education and persuading them is a big task. The relentless efforts of the team members of KU and their compassion to serve the weak have brought massive changes in society.

However, some students of the institute don’t give KU the respect they deserve and are not ready to spend a single penny claiming that KU pockets the funds themselves.

If you visit the social media handles of the KU members, you will find a list of children who get into the formal education system along with their school fees being paid by KU. Dictionary the constant assistance from professors like Prof. Ashim Mukherjee with KU helps KU stay strong.

What are the changes that took place in the college after IT-BHU got converted into IIT BHU?

My friend was a student at IIT BHU and he witnessed a number of changes as the IT BHU got converted into IIT BHU.

The Vishwakarma hostel became a 3 storied building
Kashi yatra, the annual socio-cultural festival of IIT(BHU) Varanasi stayed open till 10.
The grading system first changed to absolute from relative and then finally back to relative grading.
Mid-semester tests were introduced in place of class tests.
One of the sandwich shops became a complete multi-storied restaurant.
The Chemical Engineering department was updated in many ways.
The students were no longer allotted single rooms.
The campus facilities were improved including the Internet connections.
The 90 % attendance rule was introduced.
The institute got 3 new directors.

These were some of the changes my friend witnessed after the IT BHU got transformed into IIT BHU.

My review of IIT BHU will be based on some very common parameters.

Infrastructure: The academic buildings are not air-conditioned and are equipped with obsolete instruments. The hostels are surrounded by natural beauty but the living conditions are pathetic with cramped rooms and dirty toilets. The poor LAN connections are a major major problem here.
Faculty: The faculty again is very disappointing. some even lack basic knowledge and some are too arrogant to guide the students. The answer sheets are checked in a disorganized way and the pedagogy adopted is old school. So here, you will have to completely depend on self-study.
Research: The majority of the faculty focuses on administrative tasks and fails to encourage students to research work. The institute has no globally recognized research work to date.
Facilities: The library has poorly organized books and lacks good study material. The LAN network is another major issue faced by students here. The departments are closed by 6 ok and the library is locked by 10 pm. This is a major hindrance during exams.
Campus life: The frequent student activities make the campus life of IIT BHU lively and dynamic. A number of activities are organized in IIT-Gymkhana by the students and Kashi Yatra is the annual cultural festival of the institute. There are amazing sports facilities like huge grounds and fields for Cricket, Football, Badminton, and Tennis.
Placements: IIT BHU has one of the best placements among the top IITs. Currently, IIT Bhu Placements 2023 is being held and around 474 offers and 305 PPOs have been made. IIT BHU's highest CTC was recorded at INR 1.2 CPA. A total of 117 recruiters took part in IIT BHU Placements 2023. Top recruiters included Airbnb India, Uber, Microsoft, Accenture, Piramal, etc. Last year the highest CTC stood at INR 2.05 CPA which was offered by UBER.

Overall, IIT BHU is a great choice if you are willing to sacrifice the hostel conditions and self-study.

Pharmaceutical Society and Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering & Technology, IIT (BHU) organize the Nation's largest pharmaceutical fest-SPIRIT.

SPIRIT is an annual fest of pharmaceutical engineering & Tech. branch of IIT(BHU). It is a national level event where pass out students can also participate. Pharma and medical enthusiasts from the country come together in this two-day fest to encapture new ideas and innovations to bring out the best of the participants. There are many competitions where you can compete to share and gain knowledge and ideas. Workshops and seminars are also organized. IIT(BHU) is the only IIT having a pharma branch, that's why it is the best college of pharma. The Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, IIT (BHU) was established in 1932.
