Placements are very good but as recession is hurting every job there is the placements have fallen down a bit.
The campus life is quite bad compared to other indian institute of technology because the infrastructure is quite old and bad here and appears dull tbh.
Mess food is also stupid bad, its affordable, at only 15k per semester, but the quality is really bad.

Placements are good. We have a dedicated training and placement cell that works for a smooth process to help students get placement and internship opportunities.about 900~950 students were placed this year

IITBHU - A college located on the banks of River Ganga

Likes

The best thing which i like is that at a very affordable price we are getting opportunity to get placed in top notch companies.
The ghats around the campus are best spots to hangout with friends.
The annual cultural fest Kashiyatra is my favourite.

Dislikes

The mess food quality is one thing which I dislike the most in college.
The administration is also somewhat lazy and does not listen to students sometimes.
There should be more security in the campus as being an open campus it should be concerned about the safety of its students.

Placement Experience:

The college provides decent placement opportunities. Companies like google, amazon, cisco, zomato etc visit our college. Students are eligible for placements in their final year. This year (2023) the highest package offered by a company was Rs 1.68 crore and that too was a domestic package. Almost all the students get placed after their course completion.

Its culture,social life obviously the placements.
Faculty are pretty good and co-operate with you .
Campus Life is good and there's so much to explore

Infrastructure can be more impressive and modern .
Mess food quality is somewhat average and it should be improved
Old hostels are not that great but continuous development is going on

Placement of college is excellent as it is IIT.Highest package goes upto 2cr+ and lowest upto 12lpa .Almost all students are placed with an average package of 25lpa + and the major companies visiting the campus are Google, Microsoft,adobe ,meta,jpmc,Morgan Stanley,HCl tech

All you need to know about IIT BHU

Likes

The greenery of the campus keeps the campus cooler than the outside city
The placement of the college is quite impressive
The location of the college gives us a chance to explore the Varanasi city also

Dislikes

About the city of Varanasi I think there is a lot of heat in the summer
The college needs to have new hostels because the hostels are quiet old.
The college needs to have increased security

The placement record of the college is impressive. This year in 2023 placement season the highest package offered is 1 crore 68 lakhs. The average package for the last year is 23 lakhs. Most of the students get the placement.

A Fresher's Experience

Likes

Campus Life is excellent.Many types of fests,events and other engaging activities are held time to time,Seniors are very friendly.Zero Ragging campus is present.
Faculty is excellent and professors are helpful too.Course structure is beautifully designed.Every type of book which is related to course is available in library.
Placements are excellent.A student who prepares for placement surely gets it and of very good package.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very old and it is not worth of IIT type institution.
Hostel for first year is very congested.Room size is not enough for three students.
The thing I hate most is open campus.Anyone is allowed in campus which I seriously don't like and any type of vehicle is brought.

Placement Experience:

Final year students sit for placements. Many companies visited this placement season like Wells Fargo,Flipkart,Zomato,VISA,Goldman Sachs,Microsoft,Uber,Google,Mastercard,TATA Steel,Reliance,PhonePe,Wal-Mart. Highest Package offered was 1,68,00,000 and average was 21,00,000. Total placement offers made were 924 and total 277 companies visited. Total internship offers made were 353 offered by 77 companies.

Daily different bad incidents takes place due to BHU students
Clashes with BHU sudents on Birla road ..

Placement Experience:

Placements start from 4th year and 3rd year is for internships..... almost 200 companies come every year for placements....... JP Morgan and James street give decent package that is upto 1 Cr. Most palcements are by coding

Campus placement is top notch it is one of the major reason why I choosed IIT BHU. All the big companies visit here there are so many I cannot name all of them. This year 80 companies visited on day one and made 547 offers with highest being 1.68 cpa for more info you can also check the instagram page of mediaclub.iitbhu . If you want specific details you can also check on college pravesh this site data is accurate. Last year about 81% students were placed. I am not sure for myself but I may prepare for government jobs cause the environment is best to Crack government jobs or any software based job I can also go there.

The campus placements of our iit is really excellent. Students start getting their intern from 5th semester. Placements start in last year. This year in 2023, a lot of top companies came in the campus and made their offers. On the very first day of placement the no. of offers made were above 350 and the highest package was 1.68Crpa and the lowest was around 12lpa. Almost all the students get placed.

Likes

The Senior Interaction in this college is really great. There is nothing like senior junior here.
The placement of this college is really great . Nearly everyone here gets decent placements.

Dislikes

There is not much reasons to dislike this college but the campus security can be enhanced.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have Mechanical Engineering department because of the College reputation and mainly because of my rank . The course curriculum is not very rigorous and tough , If the student is willing to learn it is very easy to crack the course of mechanical engineering here at IITBHU. The faculty here is very understanding and supportive. The faculty student ratio is approx 1:20 which is very decent. Like every course in this course there is Midsem and Endsem exams which are very easy to pass.

A small tour to our college

Likes

Kashi Vishwanath temple inside campus have very good day begginer.
It also have very big gym and also an separate gym for girls.
New hostels are very large and attractive.

Dislikes

Open campus is a big issue there which we dislikes.
There is lack of air conditioning in classroom
There is little big issue in security department.

What are the views of IIT-BHU students about Kashi Utkarsh?

My friend is an alumnus of IIT-BHU and he was a member of the Kashi Utkarsh too. He claims the organization is doing really well in eradicating the prevalent social constraints through the collective efforts of the group. The body convinces the financially weak families living in Varanasi slums to send their children to schools with the help of KU funding.

As easy as this may sound, the actual process is very tiring. The families are hell-bent against education and persuading them is a big task. The relentless efforts of the team members of KU and their compassion to serve the weak have brought massive changes in society.

However, some students of the institute don’t give KU the respect they deserve and are not ready to spend a single penny claiming that KU pockets the funds themselves.

If you visit the social media handles of the KU members, you will find a list of children who get into the formal education system along with their school fees being paid by KU. Dictionary the constant assistance from professors like Prof. Ashim Mukherjee with KU helps KU stay strong.

What are the changes that took place in the college after IT-BHU got converted into IIT BHU?

My friend was a student at IIT BHU and he witnessed a number of changes as the IT BHU got converted into IIT BHU.

The Vishwakarma hostel became a 3 storied building
Kashi yatra, the annual socio-cultural festival of IIT(BHU) Varanasi stayed open till 10.
The grading system first changed to absolute from relative and then finally back to relative grading.
Mid-semester tests were introduced in place of class tests.
One of the sandwich shops became a complete multi-storied restaurant.
The Chemical Engineering department was updated in many ways.
The students were no longer allotted single rooms.
The campus facilities were improved including the Internet connections.
The 90 % attendance rule was introduced.
The institute got 3 new directors.

These were some of the changes my friend witnessed after the IT BHU got transformed into IIT BHU.

My review of IIT BHU will be based on some very common parameters.

Infrastructure: The academic buildings are not air-conditioned and are equipped with obsolete instruments. The hostels are surrounded by natural beauty but the living conditions are pathetic with cramped rooms and dirty toilets. The poor LAN connections are a major major problem here.
Faculty: The faculty again is very disappointing. some even lack basic knowledge and some are too arrogant to guide the students. The answer sheets are checked in a disorganized way and the pedagogy adopted is old school. So here, you will have to completely depend on self-study.
Research: The majority of the faculty focuses on administrative tasks and fails to encourage students to research work. The institute has no globally recognized research work to date.
Facilities: The library has poorly organized books and lacks good study material. The LAN network is another major issue faced by students here. The departments are closed by 6 ok and the library is locked by 10 pm. This is a major hindrance during exams.
Campus life: The frequent student activities make the campus life of IIT BHU lively and dynamic. A number of activities are organized in IIT-Gymkhana by the students and Kashi Yatra is the annual cultural festival of the institute. There are amazing sports facilities like huge grounds and fields for Cricket, Football, Badminton, and Tennis.
Placements: IIT BHU has one of the best placements among the top IITs. Currently, IIT Bhu Placements 2023 is being held and around 474 offers and 305 PPOs have been made. IIT BHU's highest CTC was recorded at INR 1.2 CPA. A total of 117 recruiters took part in IIT BHU Placements 2023. Top recruiters included Airbnb India, Uber, Microsoft, Accenture, Piramal, etc. Last year the highest CTC stood at INR 2.05 CPA which was offered by UBER.

Overall, IIT BHU is a great choice if you are willing to sacrifice the hostel conditions and self-study.

Pharmaceutical Society and Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering & Technology, IIT (BHU) organize the Nation's largest pharmaceutical fest-SPIRIT.

SPIRIT is an annual fest of pharmaceutical engineering & Tech. branch of IIT(BHU). It is a national level event where pass out students can also participate. Pharma and medical enthusiasts from the country come together in this two-day fest to encapture new ideas and innovations to bring out the best of the participants. There are many competitions where you can compete to share and gain knowledge and ideas. Workshops and seminars are also organized. IIT(BHU) is the only IIT having a pharma branch, that's why it is the best college of pharma. The Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, IIT (BHU) was established in 1932.
