Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.

Dislikes

We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

Journey begins to become an engineer

Our hostel facility is far better than what I have thinked
Campus is very beautiful and eco friendly
Classrooms and faculty members are much better , and they usually teat us as their children

Dislikes

There is so much restriction in our hostel for first year students
Only two play ground is available in the campus
Gymnasium is not that much good

A student can apply for placement from the 5th semester, placement is very much impressed with an average of 8.5 lakh per annum Most of the multinational companies visit our campus for placement like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, TCS, Mahindra, and manufacturing industries and petroleum, and petrochemical industries also. The percentage of students got placed every year is different in general from the CSE branch 95.4% of students got placed and chemical 88.8% and other branches also provide a high percentage of placement I will join one company first then after being stable in my life I will try to make my village better by providing some facilities as there is a very less number of children getting education of higher studies

Placement Experience:

From the third year or after the sixth semester students become eligible for campus placements. Several companies visited our campus like tata, Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, etc. About 80-90 percent of students got placement. As our average package is 8-9 lacks per annum

Beautiful Campus of NIT Durgapur

Wonderful hostels with having high facilities.

Most multinational companies visit for campus placements i.e. Microsoft, Amazon, Google, TCS, Mahendra, etc. Percentage of placement from various branches, such as 95.2% in CSE,88.8% in CHE,94.8% in ECE, etc. I want a take good placement after completing this degree.

First I liked our Boys hostel hall-14 it's 14 th floor building totally amazing
Greenary campus 💚

In first year lot of restriction you can't go anywhere in the night
You can't do night out in night in first year but second to last it's no problem

Normally the placement in NITD commences at the beginning of the final year i.e. 7th semester. 128+ companies come every year they made offers 600+ and got 576 something The highest CTC package is INR 51 LPA An average INR 11.46 LPA Median INR 23.56 LPA Cs students: 95.65% Biotech: 52.84% Civil:67.24% Metallurgical: 75% ECE:94.28% ELECTRICAL :87% Chemical:88.89 mechanical;75% I want to do higher studies. I'm preparing for Gate.

REVIEW OF NIT DURGAPUR

Placement Experience:

NIT DURGAPUR normally the placements commence at the beginning of the final year i.e, the seventh semester in the month of July. All students who expect to graduate from the institute by the end of the academic year are eligible for the placements. Many Reputed companies recruit students from here like Microsoft which offered a 51LPA package this year and other top recruiters include morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Capgemini, Amazon, Vedanta, etc.

Mechanical is best in NIT Durgapur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is too good. I choose these courses because I am very curious about electronic devices how they work and how they are made etc. The faculty-student ratio in this college is 1:6. The faculty members are well-educated many of them have completed their PhD degrees. And all the faculty members' teaching method is good I can say. To pass the exams is not very tough but if you want a good cgpa then you have to study hard not like jee but good enough.

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur

Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
