Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.

Dislikes

We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

NIT Durgapur may not be your dream college, but you will cherish your journey here

Placement Experience:

NIT Durgapur has pretty decent placements. About 200+ companies, giants, and startups from almost all sectors visit each year to recruit and the alumni base becomes solid year after year. To name a few Microsoft, Amazon, JPMC, Wells Fargo, Accenture, Oracle, Jio, Tata, Atlassian, ITC, HUL, ZS, Directi, Maruti, Honda, CESC, Ashok Leyland, PwC, etc. Summer Internships of 2 months are offered in the 3rd year (5th semester) starting from June mostly and the placement season generally commences in the same month for the final year students (7th semester) We also have some PSUs & Core companies visiting for mechanical and electrical students. CSE & ECE department records the highest stats of more than 95% placements with big tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon, Atlassian, etc. visiting here. In the placement season of 2021-22, the overall placement percentage was 83.5% and over 650+ offers, the highest being 57.28 LPA and the average being 11.54 LPA.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year itself. Companies like Infosys, Accenture, TCS, Microsoft, etc. are coming to our college and offering placements to the students studying in nit Durgapur. The highest package for the mechanical engineering branch is 12LPA in the year 2022. Nearly 70% of students are placed in college and the rest are placed after a college degree.

The placements are decent. The average package is good. Around 90 percent of students get placed. Both core and none core companies visit. Students go for a job or higher studies after their degree. Placement support is also available.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible in 5th semester for Interns and convert to full-time and many of the students get an offer in the 7th semester there are nearly 70-80 companies and the highest package is offered by Google at 63 lakh

Best engeeneering and technology institute for all over india

Placement Experience:

B.tech is a 4-year UG degree course so the second last year means the 3rd year of students is eligible for campus placements. Ashoka group of a construction company are visited in these college and higher the students for job and provide a most valuable package. The highest package provided by any company is 19 LPA and the average package is 6 to 7 LPA. 35 TO 40 PERCENT OF STUDENTS ARE PLACED.

My great experience in college

Placement Experience:

The placements at this college are really good. This year the highest package goes up to 57 LPA. The cse branch placement is 95% and ece branch placement is 94.69%. Many companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Qualcomm, etc visited the campus.

Placement Experience:

The placements of my colleagues have been pretty good. Most famous companies visit the college. The highest package has been 50LPA+ for CS/IT branches and the average package has been near 8LPA+ I got placement from the college itself.

Students are eligible for placements here after the 6th semester. The highest package offered here is 33LPA while the average package is about 11LPA. About 72% of the students get placements here. After getting the B.Tech degree I plan on cracking GATE and going on to get an M.Tech degree.

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur

Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
