8000 is tution fees here and lots of scholarship like e grants and many other for students and lower caste people getting more scholarship...as a aid ... and it's nice policy mcm is a good scholarship
The faculty to student ratio is appropriate they provide great support highly skilled faculties good quality mentoring good in interactions and helping in study they reach out to us for any help regarding the syllabus
Life in gec us best best policy,best pics and best freedom here is best and nice we can think well and well established life here is peace peace fullued with peace no dugs no other misallenious activities in gec

Dislikes

The ladies hostel in our college is the shittiest ever .
There is no playground's in my college so we missed a lot of activities there.
No of students interested in b.tech is getting lower and lower by year

SNEAK PEAK TO SCMS SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY

Our collage is having one of the best Library facilities with latest books for students and the supplies of book are regularly checked and it is also having a good ambience for students to learn
Transportation Facilities: Collage have been provided with transportation facilities in maximum every route possible around 26 bus is present
Excellent Faculty : All the staffs are well educated ,experienced as well as Supportive

Dislikes

Lab Equipments are old and not managed properly
Not having a good gym facility in the collage
Football ground is outside the campus which make it difficult for students to reach

Placement Experience:

The placements in our collage was high before the time of covid but going on it decreased.Its basically due to the development in technology and due to increase in number of Candidates.So bigger companies started taking freshers in small amount.So they started focusing more on skills rather than btech certificates before the COVID-19 pandemic, the placement rates at our college were high. However, they decreased significantly during and after that period. This decline can primarily be attributed to advancements in technology and an increase in the number of job candidates. As a result, larger companies began hiring fewer fresh graduates. They started focusing more on skills rather than just B.Tech certificates.

MY COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

Likes

Have good dedicated faculty and have staff who have both experience and some new faculty as well
Have large campus approximately 25 acres
Have bus facilities for a larger route and as well as good hostel service

Dislikes

Some times their was issue in hostel food
Their was less programs organised but in the recent time a good number of programs are happening

Placement Experience:

Have many placement drive happening compared to other colleges in the vicinity. But the salary package is less. The college haven't released the placement package details They only show a number of students who got placed through the campus placement

The overall infrastructure and environment
Good lab and facilities and other club activities

Placement Experience:

There are placements in our college about 6LPA.Final students are eligible for placements . Students can go for higher studies if required.about 70% get placements .I plan to go for higher studies after completing degree.

The college is really active. There are alot of fest and cultural programmes held every month.
There are also different clubs and activities. Some students even got to visit abroad for free of cost.
There are sports activities, movie groups, and mechanical labs are kinda huge and really cool.

Dislikes

There is no space , like the college doesn't have a ground.
Placement for biotechnology and automobile engineering students are really low.
The iv is fun , you'll get all india trip , that's one main thing in your college life

Placement Experience:

For biotechnology the placements are very limited you have the option to choose masters abroad or do mba. Cs graduates often get good placements with good packages. Every year a total off 200-300 students gets placed

You will ve having good faculty and nice infrastructure
You will be having good social life in the college
You will be enjoying the life in college coz college teaches you soo much

I don't like that coz you will be having less placement

The course is really effective. The circulum is very good and very use full for further. You get to learn a lot of programming languages like c java html css javascript c++ and all where they are so much use full for future life

SSET- from the viewpoint of a student

Likes

Academic standards are really high. They teach you well and prepare us for semester exams. We have tutorial hours to solve problems and Y2P to encourage student interactions. Internals are conducted twice a semester and proper valuation is made.
College infrastructure is really great. The buildings and Lab's provide a better environment to properly nurture our learning ability. Labs are fully air conditioned and have variety of instruments in there. College has lift support as it has 5 floor
College Library is something of magnificent. It provides a vide variety if textbooks and magazines. They provide a better environment for learning and is close to nature as we have Bamboo trees inside the library.

Dislikes

We don't usually gets tech fests or any aother kind of events. It is a rare occurance and we would like to get more of them.
Travel facilities are really poor as our college is located far away from the Highway and Buses are rare especially during Sundays. This is of a great concern
Library timings are not at all comfortable for students. Library closes at 6 pm and hostel students cannot access it after Six. This raised a discomfort among many students

Placement Experience:

Mostly students become eligible from 6th semester but there are rare cases where students got placed in their 5th semester. We get placement training from 5th semester itself. The companies visited here includes: Unisys, Cisco, Goggle, SOTTI, Mitsogo, Skill Kendra AISET, Cuvette, Sutherland, Experion, Hut Labs, Zoho, Walmart, etc. Almost 264 companies came here for placement last year and large amount of offers were made. Highest package is 8 lacks per annum and average is 4 lakhs per annum. Almost 60-70% of Students are getting placed. I'm bot entirely sure about it. It's just a rough estimate. I'm hoping to get placed and if I won't get into a good company I'll try for Masters after my graduation

It has some programs now and then which is good to take our mind out of studies

Dislikes

The campus is too small compared to other colleges on the same level and not enough materials available in some labs

The course curriculum was updated this year and some changes were made from the previous curriculum. We are just starting so we are not in our main course fully yet. They should stop teaching with only ppts

Rajiv Gandhi institute of technology Kottayam provide a good placement to the students..the quality and number of placement varies according to the department.in the collage the branch which have the best placement is computer science.most of the students are getting placed at different good companies with a average salary of 11LPA

The people is good as in friends. A lot of variety of people here, first time im having such an experience.
The football ground is nice. We get to play everyday after class
The functions and a lot of sports in college now.

Dislikes

The hostel mess food is horrible. Very difficult at times.
Hostel is very strict. Need outpass just to go outside.
Message goes to the parents once we get out of hostel.

Placement Experience:

from 7th sem we could sit for placements. wipro,etc come for placements. the hightest package is 58lakhs per annum to a it student. perecent of studnets getting placements is very less for our college due to the lack of proper skill. i wish to work for some while and then pursue for higher education.

I really liked the structured teaching method.
I liked object oriented outcome based learning
Exams and assigment tests are well arranged

Dislikes

I've got nothing to hate. Everything is good
Everything is well organized and maintained
One thing i dont like is over strictness.

Placement Experience:

I heard that the college is offering placements for the students after completing their studies. I dont know much details as im a first year student. The average package is 80000. Interland , innovature companies have visited
