I hope there was a chance to avail scholarship and also provide easy internships
Faculty who had a lot of knowledge and expertise regarding the field and they gave their best in classes and taught very well
The campus was very spacious and clean and the rooms were spacious and clean as well

Dislikes

Some of the staff members in offices or counters were very rude . If asked about any information they would ignore or reply in a very rude manner . That was the worst part.
The paper or tamplet glued on the wall during election times is bad
The process for registration and office purpose for this college is bit poor

Gurucharan college

Faculty who had a lot of knowledge and expertise regarding the field and they gave their best in classes and taught very well
The fee structure was good and affordable and they had government schemes included which helped some students to avail for free admission
The campus was very spacious and clean and the rooms were spacious and clean as well

Dislikes

Lack of clean toilets, sanitary pads, and clean drinking water
The major drawback is the timing of examination and result. A 6 month semester should be of 6 months but here we are giving exams withing 3-4 months of the semester and the results take eternity to come

Course Curriculum Overview:

The teachers who were teaching the course were very experienced and hence it was very enjoyable experience. They used to provide all study materials and made sure no one was lacking.

My thoughts on our lovely College

Likes

The campus is huge, there is proper parking area, canteen also a big banyan tree inside campus. Part of college was full of different types of flower. Class were taken regularly even though students absent teacher always came.
Infrastructure is well and good with adequate equipment in most department.
Cultural or any kind of functions are organised properly and timely.

Dislikes

Cleanliness need some improvement and little attention.
The paper or tamplet glued on the wall during election times is bad

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's my decision as i loved those subjects. The curriculum prepares us quite well but not excellent. I hope more practicality is involved. The timing giving before exam is adequate for anyone to prepare well and the difficulty level is mid.

The clear and best

Likes

The college atmosphere and staff the way their behaviour and they communicate very well in hindi english and local language
The teacher are way better then the any other colleges the way explain is way better than the private colleges professors they are the best
The maintenance and the student union is top notch they always help if anything happens they are always ready to help you no matter what the situation is

Dislikes

the things i didn’t like about the college is that some of the classrooms are not well
sometimes the boys washroom is not cleaned
There is a rumour about the college if you seat under a tree you will have backlog

Placement Experience:

In semester 5th. the students are eligible for placement and internships. I didn't know the names because i didn't apply for sny of them. around 4.5. lakh average. 45% percentage of students are getting placed. MBA after this degree

My college experience

Likes

I like the college environment it is very eco friendly
Teachers and other staff are really good
The campus is huge for cultural activities

Dislikes

The class rooms are not as big even the hall room too
Library and lab are not properly organized
Exam schedule of each unit test are conducted very early

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum or the course we are pursuing depends upon our marks even the professor guides us well too. The practicals really help us even the explanations to help us for further academic pursuit. The improvement should be done mostly in practical classes. The timing of the examination is too early

My experience of being a student in Gurucharan College Silchar

Likes

This is the only college in silchar that offer computer science courses
The campus is quite good it gives natural vibe always
The faculty is quite good and the fees is quite reasonable

Dislikes

Placement record is not so good here . You can apply here if you want to higher education
Internship is not there they must include internships for students
Library is not so big to study they must build a big library

Placement Experience:

In last semester that is the sixth semester you can go and be placed for campus placement. Because it is an affiliated college of Assam University, so there is quite a few companies came here, but the companies are quite good. Such good IT companies came here such as Deloitte. Wipro, etc. The average package is like 3.2,00,00 per annum and the highest package is like six or seven lakh. Percentage of student getting placement is low because this is an affiliated college, so you have to go to the University for placement. Frankly, this college is not for placement. This college is for higher education. If you want to go for higher education, then you can consider this college.

Before you come to Chemistry Dept of GC college

Likes

Great ambience, Good infrastructure with Smart board and Ac feature in the class
Spacious cafeteria with variety of soft drinks, snacks,chips, chocolates and biscuits. Students can also opt out for meals like pulao, parantha etc
Huge field available for sports, beautiful plants with blooming flowers in the department area.

Dislikes

The labs are sheer disappointment as there is no proper care of the chemicals, the exhaust works slowly.
There is no assurance of getting desired chemicals as they mostly run out of use.
The water taps do not work properly,there is great difficulty in getting water in the lab. Although there are taps outside for drinking purpose.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Chemistry being a pretty tough subject took my attention to compete in real world. Also, the fees of this course is quite pocket friendly as it's only 5.5k/semester. The curriculum prepares us for real world applications by organising certain programmes in the conference hall, with chief guests who are alumni of this Department and are currently doing great worldwide.They also give us the chance to interact and ask any questions regarding the real world. Certain improvements that this dept needs is the proper maintenance of lab, decent physical chemistry teachers, and proper care of chemicals. The exam timings are quite hectic as they conduct final exams quite earlier than the actual Semester ending and we particularly get 3months in total.

Good faculties and better teaching environment
Ragging free environment with proper safety and security for every students
Friendly and helpful teachers and good class environment

Dislikes

The campus of our college in too small which becomes crowded during exams and other fests
Gym facilities are not properly working and does not have playground
The date of the exams are provided suddenly just few days before exam

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum under NEP of commerce provides better job opportunity which influenced me to choose this course the curriculum aslo prepares us for the real world application they teaches us various methods of how to score in competitive exams.

Though every colleges have their pros and cons, nothing us perfect I'm not also a good student but i love my college I'll give my best for my studies.

Likes

I like my college area it is enough big.
I like my college campus it is enough big and beautiful.
I like my college's building as the college was established in British time so it reflects many old things.

Dislikes

College campus is remained dirty not clean enough everytime.
College authorities do not have a good communicative relationship with students.
Classes are not done in proper time sometimes teachers are not be available

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like the subject english that is why I chose this course, I'm studying ba in English and i will do post graduation in also english, but in our department student teacher relationship is not good enough, I can't communicate with my department's professor as much. The other problem is last year we gave 3 semesters exams together in a year which should be held after 6months, I would like to request the authorities to give concern about that.

Our faculties are awesome.They help in our career guidance
Our campus is very clear and green 💚 and workers are kept for clearing purpose and is done everyday
Infrastructure is very nice very nice arrangements of buildings

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mathematics is my favorite subject so I want deep knowledge in this particular subject. This course provides deep knowledge of mathematics. our faculties behave very well and explain every concept in such a nice way .

Campus is vast and airy.. and filled with greenery
There's one canteen which is very economical and makes delightful food
All the faculty members are very kind and helpful and are very interactive

Dislikes

There are less campus amenities which are infact necessary.. there is only one working water dispenser.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester itself students become eligible for campus placements and there are vast scope of internships as well. After getting this degree you can easily get adequate paying jobs and they are much more adequate for the students
