Likes

Scholarships like nsp etc are provided to students by applying to respective forms and staff is helpful.
The helpful faculty of the college which provide the students with valuable information and inside into the academic knowledge needed to succeed in life . the understanding of the teachers towards the students.
Placement cell is very supportive and number of companies they have manage to bring to the table is great.

Dislikes

The teachers teach well, but due to low strictness levels and no discipline there is high irregularity of attendance and students don't attend classes properly.
Faculty is little bit not so qualified. but they are so much arrogant.
The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:60 in core subjects and it goes slightly lower for the electives.

The Life in Dyal Singh College

Likes

Teachers are so supportive in studies and also other than studies. They are also highly educated from respective college Delhi School of Economics
Fest and cultural activities are so good.
Crowd of college is so good like 4:6 is girls boys ratio

Dislikes

Infrastructure of buildings are not so good.
Drinking water is available but at some places.
Their are so fighting issue between political parties in college.

Placement Experience:

The students whose CGPA is more or equal to 7.5 then they are eligible for campus placements. The companies which comes to visit like Zomato, Wipro etc. The highest package is 32 lakh per annum and average is 5 lakh per annum. The percentage of getting placement is very low.

Dyal Singh College will teach one humanity.

Likes

Our identity and library card are same and hence we don't have to carry different cards.
Placements are quite effective and also most students from our campus end up paying jobs.
College area is also quite bigger than most colleges.

Dislikes

College don't have any commercial kr residential complex nearby.

Placements here are so good because our placements department cell students are quite active on LinkedIn and have managed to get almost 70-80 colleges on board. Average placements of B.Com at our college is around 5 lakhs or so as of now.

The college’s infrastructure was really good and impressive, giving students all the necessary requirements weather its sports ground, amphitheater, gym and etc
The faculty of my college was also good and the teachers give there 100% to get students learn about everything about the course.
College’s societies were also great, I was a part of 3 societies music, theatre and NGO. They provide students with all the exposure required to upskill oneself

Dislikes

The thing which i disliked about my college was that the canteen is not that good and it can be improved in the terms of sitting arrangements and price of food items.
Placements offered by the college is not up to the requirements of the students, if the company came to offer placements it only offers assistance to science students.
The office department of the college is so slow and delay the work of the students which hampers their daily requirements.

Because i only got inrolled in this course as I didn't had maths in my +1 and +2 classes so I didn't get bcom hon course and i got enrolled in bcom program. Faculty members and better and very supportive to students

Overall experience as a first year student in Dyal singh College, Geography department.

Likes

I like the infrastructure of the college which is really attractive.
My college life is pretty good, seniors and professors are really communicative.
As a first year student and being enrolled in Geography the faculty to student ratio is 1:80 . The faculty is nice and polite and very approachable.The geography department faculty is great with teachers being experts in their field.

Dislikes

I think they shouldn't have used the toilet tiles on the building.

As a student of geography department of Dyal singh college, to be honest i do t regret taking admission in this college because the geographical department of our college is one of the best and the oldest in the Universal of Delhi, i opted for geography because i got 99/100 in geography in 12th standard and i also have interest in this subject, studying geography is such a wonderful experience for me, I think they should improve the methods to teach students like using more digital media and 3D diagrams for teaching concepts of physical geography otherwise its all good, the exam are not that difficult if you will study throughout the semester you will pass the exam easily.

Likes

College campus is big in terms of area and is green.
There are facilities available like basketball and volleyball ground.
The college has a big canteen and a huge amphitheatre.

Dislikes

The benches in classroom are broken ehich creates discomfort.
College building has become old so renovation can be done.

Placement Experience:

The placements begin in thirs year. Top recruiter were KPMG Global Services, EY GDS, D.E. Shaw Group, Genpact Enterprise Risk Consulting, JLL, Accenture, HCL, NTT DATA, UNIQLO. As a first year i dont know much but my plans after getting a degree is to do masters in Computer science and secure a good placement or offer in any of the big IT companies.

In college your easily intract with peoples and more friends in first semester and in last semester all people have a separate groups or more fun in college groups
College teacher are supportive and sometime if you are not coming college and your behaviour is good in class on that basis teachers give your attendance and marks that's why make good behaviour within teachers
In this college you feel new exposures which is not in another college firstly there building is very big and peoples are doing different things from art to fighting all are happened in this college you feel local experience of your college in this n

Dislikes

In this college some departments are not goods like Sanskrit and Hindi department don't of this otherwise choose not campus best college then this
In this type of college people are serious with their caste values don't hurt anyone on their cast
Sometimes events are cancelled in this college because of fighting and other reasons

The course I select in dayal Singh colleges is BCom program my courses not difficult because my teacher is best teaching skills they not feel me that my course is hard and motivate time to time for studying this is type of relation with student and teacher the teachers timing is good they are coming on time for class and take serious actions in class for student if he not knowing any topic or he is face any problem in class they are very supportive and timing of examinations are very sufficient for doing a paper that's why we can complete our paper and obtain good marks in all subjects

Classrooms were huge which was a good thing
Campus has 2 big ground which makes it a huge one
Sports facilities are there and is available for Students

Dislikes

Water facility in campus was something which was missing
Sanitation facilities can be improved as it was not up to the mark
Washroom can get cleaner and can be a little better

Placement Experience:

I got a placement in big 4 like EY So the placement is good enough for a graduate and they also have big companies coming in it just depends on the students how much they put in efforts to get selected.

Likes

Library of our college is quite peaceful
Seminar hall is also quite nice as compared to others

Dislikes

Toilets required more attention towards cleanliness
Labs has no facilities for the students even during our practicals
Auditorium required a huge space as compared to the present one

The curriculum effectively covered the core concepts of Life Sciences and their practical applications The difficulty level of the exams is quite average but it also depends on each and every student who has their own experience

Likes

I love to listen to music and also to play guitar in the same time I also love to make lyrics for the same song also
I love to cook and eat food especially non veg food as it is very delicious
I also love to do painting and also draw the landscape and portrait painting and colour it

Dislikes

I hate to be with fake people and be fake around them when they are around
I hate to tell lies if not needed otherwise and also refrain from telling lies
I hate to taste bitter items as they taste very bad to my taste bud

Curriculum is also very well maintained as faculties are also very nice to us they taught us very well about each and every thing. The curriculum taught us many things all programmes related to course authentication

Likes

It's a co-ed college. I like the students support in my college. Mt all classmate is so much supportive.
The seniors of my college are so fun and chill as we have any doubt then we can ask them.
Campus is too good of my college as also very natural.

Dislikes

Some professors are not so good in their teaching style.
The students behaviour. Some students are very manner less.
High price of college's canteen food. Some things have to change.

I want to attend the labs like I want to do experiment. That's I choose this course as my course is physical science with chemistry. In which chemistry labs happened in every week as two lab we attend for physics and chemistry each.
