Life at BIT Sindri.

Remarks:

At the very first this college is the only government engineering institute of Jharkhand. Very low fees compared to private colleges and IITs as well. Great and vast network of alumni. Talking about the not upto mark aspects of college less number of hostels for first and second year, no wifi available. The admission process is via JEE Mains exam.

BITians are second to none

Placement Experience:

Students can bag the PPO's from 3rd year if they are willing to go for campus placements or internships. Companies like tata steel, Adani, Deloitte, and many other companies recruit a good number of students from the college and also provide good CTCs. If the students have any ideas about start-ups or entrepreneurship, the college has their back. It has a start-up cell that supports such ideas and if they succeed to pitch in their ideas they also get help from the alumni of the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is above average. The average placement for core branches is around 8lpa. mostly 90% of the core students get placed every year. The highest package is around 15lpa. There are ppos also every year.

Placement Experience:

We have recruitments every year. Companies like Vedanta, AVG, TCS, Wipro, Tata Steel, DVC, SAIL, L&T, Tata Hitachi, ZS Association, Usha Martin etc come for recruitment. The average package is 3-4 lacs per annum. The placement ratios vary from branch to branch like 98% for metallurgy. TCS and Wipro are the mass recruiter. About 82% of students in Electronics and communication branch gets placed.

Value of money

Placement Experience:

Placement is good especially for my branch i.e fir cse /it. Almost all students get placed till final years many got an internship from 2nd yr only. Companies like tata, tata steel, TCS and many more visit for Placements. The highest package offered is about 10lpa and the average package is 5lpa. From my branch 95%+, students got placed.

Honest Review of BIT Sindri through a BITian

Placement Experience:

In BIT Sindri, placements are good. In my college students are eligible from 3rd year to sit on-campus placement. They can also go for internships from the first year itself. Around 50+ companies visited in the year 2020. This is a little bit less due to covid 19. Some of the companies that visit regularly are Tata Steel, Vedanta, Aditya Birla group, TCS, TCS digital, Ericsson, etc. Highest package is 13 lakhs p.a being offered by Tata steel and the average package is around 6 lakhs p.a. Here around 50 to 60 percent of students are placed each year. In 2024 I will get my degree. My future plans are that I will give GATE exam. I want to be in under 100 rank so that I could get a job in PSUs or get MTech admission in IITs.

Remarks:

First of all, it's a government college with a very less fee ( about 14000 for boys and Rs 32 for girls for all category ) and secondly it's placement record is very good and the college has a very big alumni network as it's a very old college. Though the infra is not the best but many things are under construction.

Remarks:

This is the only state government college in Jharkhand and is a premier institute with glorious past established in 1949. The best branch is Mechanical Engineering and is well known throughout World. It has best available resources, abundant land and best alumni base that lays a strong foundation for the college. It's placement is also very good with average of 4.5 lakh per annum package and highest of 10.11 lakh with about 60% students getting placed. The college has huge number of club and society for overall development of the students.

BIT Sindri

Remarks:

Our college is best in the state coming just behind the NIT Jamshedpur. Moreover the best part of this college is its fee structure which is very less and any student can afford it but the bad part is that it doesn't have a placement statistics like any NIT or IIT. Admission in the UG course of BIT sindri is done by JCECEB which prepares a state merit list of the students from their JEE Main rank and then do a counselling based on the state merit list. Application for admission can be filled on JCECEB site by June or July of every year.

This college gives admission to jharkhand people only so to get this college becomes little easy, and second reason is that it has very less fees. And a good placement you can say about this college asbest college for investment and return

From what I’ve heard from my friend who is currently a student of BIT Sindri, there is ample time for students to prepare for exams like UPSC, GATE, etc.

The area of the campus is about 400 acres. BIT Sindri is a good engineering college and is located in the town of Sindri which is 25km from the city of Dhanbad.
BIT Sindri has a total of 26 hostels for boys and girls. The different departments of the college are allotted their own buildings for their classes and activities.
There is an auditorium on the campus. There have been some reports of ragging, though, in the first and second years.
The best departments in the institute by far are mining and metal because of good placements.
Lately, a number of good companies are visiting the campus so the statistics of placements are improving by the day. The average CTC has been recorded to be 4.51 LPA while the highest salary is 10.12 LPA.

The institute also holds an enviable rank amongst other engineering institutes of Jharkhand.
