IEM Kolkata (IEM Saltlake) Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I chose Engineering because: It has been my passion to pursue this course. Codes are something that I actually understand. Engineering gives a brief knowledge of how to apply whatever we've learned to date. The Quality of Education is wonderful. The teachers are available 24/7 to help you whenever you need them. Teachers are willing to personally teach the students during college hours for any session or class that they miss.

During the last phase of the sixth semester company started visiting our campus for internship opportunities. From the seventh semester onwards company starts visiting for full-time roles as well. Companies like Oracle, eQTechnologic, Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, and IBM have visited our campus so far. Accenture has offered 150 students for full-time roles. The Highest package offered is from Oracle around 19LPA for my Batch. The average that I know would be around 5LPA.

Campus placements are offered around the 6th semester onwards. TCS, Wipro, IBM, Oracle and a lot of reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment and 100% placement is not a myth as our curriculum is designed to include placement and competitive-oriented studies from the 1st semester itself. The average package tends to touch 5lacs per annum and the highest goes up to 82 lacs per annum for a software engineer at Google London. Personally, I am planning to get an MS after my B Tech degree.

In the Fourth semester, students become eligible for in-campus placements. Companies like Cognizant, TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc. visit the college for Mass camping. The highest Package last year went up to 11 LPA from our CSE department and the median salary was 5 LPA this year for the CSE department.

I choose this course because I was interested in this particular field. faculty members were quiet good and supportive. they were highly qualified with advanced teaching methods. as the teachers were helpful and supportive it somehow made me easy to pass the exams by there advanced teaching skills.

I choose a computer science course because of my interest in coding and this branch has a good future scope. Faculty in this college plays an important role in subjects we get one faculty member. maximum M.tech qualified faculty present in this college few of them have done PhD.

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements and at the same time, the companies start to come. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Oracle, Juspay Technologies, etc visit regularly. Almost 95% of students get placed every year. My plan is to get a job through placements after my bachelor's only.

From Fifth Semester OnwardsThe Campusing Starts. There are many Service Based Companies Visited The BCA Department like SAP labs, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Delloite, Almost Every Student Get Placed Who Are Eligible For College Placement. My Plan is to do MCA after BCA

From the 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. EY, PWC, TCS, ICICI, Bandhan Bank, Indigo, Usha Martin, Asian paints, Berger, Bluedart, Collegedunia, Flipkart, and many more came for the campus placement. The highest package was 9LPA . The average package is 4.5LPA - 5LPA. 80% of Students got placed.

The placement was good. There are many companies like pwc, ey, tcs, Asian paints, etc. and they made approx 10 offers. The highest package was 1200000. 90% of students got placed in companies. After getting my degree my aim is to do my job.
