IEM Kolkata (IEM Saltlake) Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

It's been a bumpy ride so far, but I'm fairly satisfied with my college. The management is strict, but approachable. Discipline is taken very seriously, and reprimands are handed out to violators. We do have a mandatory 80% attendance rule for appearing for the examinations. I'm learning about different people, and new things, and it's taken me a while to settle in and find a group of friends, but now that that's done and dusted, I'm ready to face the coming semesters with more vigour and make the most of it.

I would like to praise my college management as the college is very much disciplined. Our director sir is very caring. The college has good library facility,most of the faculties teach well and computer labs have sufficient amount of computers. Also it has a very strong placement cell. However my college lagged in 2 things. The 1st thing is the computer lab faculties were not good enough and 2nd is the college did not take any responsibility for our internship. We had to arrange it in our own.

The college is very good the faculty members are very good campus life is very soothing.

College management was good although we were the first JEE batch but still college management arranged several on campus job opportunities some of the quality teachers helps us a lot. Director of the college was so passionate about the college and students thus we has always a motivation to students to follow college rules and regulations.

The management was good and very helpful. They always heard from students and help accordingly.

IT is a very good college to study in the eastern zone.the faculty are good. The only problem here is that we have to be punctual in our task.

IEM college can be termed as a high school college. While sufficient weightage was given to the course and attendance the college lacked infrastructure for proper labs and extra curricular activities.It was the students who had to organize and bring money for any event being held in the college. One thing college did best was to ensure that everyone of the students in placed in a reputed IT company.

Finally , as a student of institute of enginnering and management, i feel myself very lucky getting admission in the college. the most attractive thing is the placement . almost all our eligible seniors get placed in good companies . Upto now there are no

The college is very strict for their discipline more than i need as i think, students find it difficult to live in the environment in start but they will bkend thereafter.

IEM kolkata is the best private college of West bengal. You have to score under 1000 rank to select branch of your choice now as shibpur university no more comes under WBJEE exams. College assist you with good placement opportunities.But the bad thing is college infrastructure is not big. You wont get big parks,ground,gardens here but you will get everything what you will require for your course and studies. College is more or less like a School i.e come in proper uniform,prayer in the morning,exact time to enter and leave the college but finally what you will have is a JOB at the time of leaving this college and I think for a fresher that matters most.
