Acharya Narendra Dev College: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 15 Reviews

The admission process at this college involves registering on the DU website in May, followed by a merit list release in June. Students may face challenges with cut-offs for preferred colleges, sometimes leading them to alternate choices. The faculty is highly qualified, with most holding doctorate degrees, especially in the mathematics department. The faculty-to-student ratio is an area for improvement, but teachers are hardworking, supportive, and approachable. The academic year follows a semester system, with exams in December and June, and a 95% pass rate.

Fees are economical, with most honors courses under INR 10,000 per year, and the BSc (H) Computer Science course at INR 23,000 per year. Placement opportunities exist, with companies like Lenovo, Infosys, and Samsung visiting annually. Placement packages range from 2.5 to 12 lakh per annum, averaging around 3.5 lakh per annum. Approximately 120 students were placed by 7-8 companies, including Amazon and Microsoft. Internships offer stipends between INR 7,000 to 20,000 per month.

The college supports students with a virtual lab, an entrepreneurship society, and scholarships like Saksham and Inspiring for financially disadvantaged and high-performing students, respectively. Despite these opportunities, comprehensive campus placement services are limited, leading many students to pursue further studies.
