Shri Shikshayatan College Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The whole graduation course at shri shikshayatan college, Kolkata is covered under six Semester exams, two conducted for each year. The exams are of the nominal standard, neither too hard or easy. A student can easily clear exams with good percentage with a little bit hardwork. Shri shikshayatan college, has excellent faculty members, and they are always accessible by their students for help. They are generous, very well qualified and really good mentors for guiding us. The course curriculum is also very relevant, especially for the charted accountancy pursuing students as the syllabus pattern is almost same designed. It also has a rating from UGC NAAC. The student faculty ratio is quite good out here. Its faculty is 21+ and students are 1000+ in BCom Hons. The semester exams are conducted in parallence with the Calcutta university examinations, so no worries in that matter too.

I have opted for English honors as because I am fond of Literature. Our class strength is 77.We have a good and cooperative faculty and their teaching method is quite interactive and interesting. exams were a bit of stress nevertheless we could all handle the online exams smoothly.

In our college students from the 4th semester to 6th semester can sit for placements. Every year many companies like Indigo, Wipro, PWC, Deloitte, Decathlon, nerdy turtle's etc visit our campus for selection of students. Every company that visits the campus selects a minimum of 7 students. around 70% -80% of students of our college get placed every year. The packages provided are 2 lakhs - 3 lakhs per annum. The big companies provide a bit higher packages than the other companies. The placement cell of our college is considered the best among the colleges of Calcutta.

The placements cells are very efficient as more than eighty percent students get placed. Companies like Wipro, Deloitte and other companies visit the college every year. The average package offered is two to three lakhs, and the highest has been five lakhs.

Students are eligible for placement from 5th semester itself. There are 15-20 companies coming every year for the same . Some prominent names are Deloitte , EY ,Wipro, Indigo etc . Average no of offers made by all companies are 10 per company. The package ranges from 2 LPA to 4 LPA in starting of the job. My plans after getting the degree is to do masters .

Form 4th semester students are eligible for campus placements. A number of companies visit every year in our college every year like PWC, Wipro, indigo, omnifin, Deloitte, decathlon, trust club, nerdy turtle's, rewards, reverse factor. Every company recruited a minimum of 7-10 students or more. Some big companies like PWC, Deloitte, Decathlon, Wipro offered an annual package of 2.5-3 lakhs while others offered 2 lakhs. 70-75% of students got placed from our college. I am planning to do my masters at Calcutta University.

Some of the good companies visit my campus when I was in the third semester of my college companies like Indigo, PWC sdc and Wipro visit to hire students almost 5% of the students get placed in the company. Unfortunately, I was not a place and I am planning to do an MBA.

Students of 3rd semester can apply in placement cell for placements teachers are really very helpful they will instruct the students regarding interviews and all there are 4 -5 companies visited the college every year highest package is 5 lakh and the average package offered is 2-3 lakh.80%of the students are placed. Companies like Deloitte, cognizant Wipro, etc visit the college

From Sem 3 itself, you become illegible for campus recruitment. Well, known companies come to get you on the basis of your skills and education. A huge amount of students gets recruited on a daily basis. This is a place where you can earn and study at the same time.

Different companies come to the college every year and so many students get the placement higher than their thoughts. They acquire students from different semesters. Everybody is given a chance to explore themselves.
