I choose mechanical engineering because one of the reasons is my interest, I love machines, how they work, etc. And 2nd reason is Rajkot city is the hub of mechanical engineering in Gujarat so you got easily job. Especially in mechanical engineering, there are 90 seats available and all are filled. The student ratio in mechanical engineering is almost 100% boys. Teaching is so nice, and also every lab is available with the latest machines and other equipment so that you can also learn with a practical approach. The exam is not too difficult.

I had a good interest in machines, a technology from my schooling days and then I decided to go with mechanical engineering which is an evergreen branch of engineering. There is different professor for every field in mechanical engineering you have to study thermal, design, production, etc. and this college has a good number of faculty. They all are masters in their field and chothani sir was a gold medalist and he is a brilliant professor. GEC Rajkot has 60 seats in mechanical engineering. There are also projector facilities so we can get knowledge easily through ppts and videos. There is a mid-term and final gtu exam. In the mid-term, you have to give 30 mark exam and in the final, you have to give 70 mark exam. But it was not tough you can pass easily.

The placement started offering when u reached in 6th sem. Almost every student in this department got placed every year cause many companies are visiting our college. The highest package once given is 7.2lakh and the lowest 3.8 lakh.

The college placement was very good and the companies coming for hiring is increasing year by year. The average package is around 4 lakh and the highest package is around 10 lakhs. The placement for the Electronic communications and computer department is high in this college.

I chose this course (computer engineering) because my interest is in this field lot time before. In my college faculty: the student ratio is almost balanced as it should be, we have at least 2 or 3 faculty for each and every subject. All the faculties are highly qualified and At least the G.P.S.C. exam cleared and all done p.h.d. they all teach students very well and with more and more effort. There are two end-semester exams in one year and the exam is too easy for those who prepared very well and difficult for those who didn't read properly.

From semester 7 students are eligible for internships and after the 8th sem placement is given to the students. The 8th sem is full of internships or projects. The average package of college is 2.8 LPA. Companies like TCS, Tatvasoft, Miracle, etc. are coming every year for placements. In the computer department, 60% of students are placed. I take the placement after completing the degree. If anyone wants to give the GATE exam and wants to do masters in IIT then the books from Library are very useful.

Our college placement is quite good. This year most of students from our bramch git the placement except those who want to do Me. Pakage is around 4-5 lac. Per year. Here companies come in campus and offer placements.

I choose this course because I was very much interested in today's infrastructure development. Most of the faculty members in our college are young by their age. And their teaching tactics are very good. All the faculties have master's degrees and PhDs in their subjects. The exams are conducted twice a year by the college and the level of the examination is quite hard compared to the final examination.

I choose this engineering field cause I think there are more scopes in future in civil engineering. The number of people in my class is 85. And the exams are a little bit hard. And the teaching method is good.
