Miranda House Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

In class 12th I was very good at mathematics and from early class, I had a very good interest in this subject. The faculty in Miranda House is really very nice, cooperative, sweet, and always very helpful. Teaching methods are very innovative, they try to engage every student in class activities like topic presentations, group discussions, and quizzes. Very good at the completion of the syllabus. Always very helpful in exam preparations.

I don't know much about the placements. I know just a few things that I will share. The students are eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Many companies visit during placements like Tres Vista Financial Services, ICICI bank, Tech Mahindra, HCL, HP, DHL, Wipro, Infosys, and many more. The highest package this year was 7 Lakhs per year.

I opted for physics because I was very curious and interested in the subject from the school itself. The faculty is awesome and experienced and supportive too. The ratio is good so we can focus on students individually also. Faculties are mostly Ph.D. holders from prestigious institutes like IITs or DU itself. Teaching is well in line with the syllabus and easily deliverable. Exams were always on time. The difficulty level depends on our preparedness. If we study in small slots each day we can get cgpa above 9 with ease.

The faculty of Political Science is best here in Miranda House. The classes are generally divided into sections to maintain good faculty: student ratio. This course provides you with a holistic understanding of political science and its sub-discipline. DU is the only university in India providing International Relations at the undergraduate level. This course would make one able to pursue a future in Civil services, academia, and other fields that require a better understanding of Polity. The faculty in miranda house doesn't take teaching lightly. Faculty is rich in knowledge, the best of DU, and dedicated. They provide the best services and expect the same from students. There are a total of 6 semesters in this course which makes for 6-semester exams the interval of 5 months and assignments and term papers in between the semester for mid-semester assessment.

Students can opt for campus placements in the final year of their courses but they can always go for internships right from their first year. Packages are good as we can also enroll in some government-funded national institutes.

From 2nd year, students often start looking for placements. For my course, the placement ranges from 5lac to 7lac. However for economics Hons., it may go above 16 lac. The companies who visited the college this year are- Zee Media, EdLighten, NTT Data, etc.

So for placements, there is a separate society in the college which deals with, the placement cell of MH. students are eligible for placements only after the completion of the course .90-95% from 3rd sem various companies like Accenture, DE shaw, TCS, unnati, etc. the highest package in 2021 was INR 19.2LPA. average package in 2021 was INR 5.5LPA. early 70- 90 % of students are placed my plans are to pursue a master's & then phD & then go abroad.

Students become eligible for campus placements in their last semester. The highest package offered here is 20 lakh per annum. Our college is more into academics and promotes higher education. I plan to pursue higher studies after my degree.

3/4 year students are eligible for campus placement names of companies who visited in college - tata motors, Microsoft and so many others. The highest package was gone 1200000 to 500000. 10 percentage of students get placement.

The Placement Cell at MH is quite active and secured great packages for applicants with the skillset, eligible from Semester 5. most packages and offers received are geared towards Economics or Science students (MH does not have a Commerce Department). I plan on continuing my studies in academia.
