The college and govt provides various scolarships in support of the students like inspire scholarahip for she, the college provied financial assistance to ews students.
The faculty is also super talented and have a great knowledge.
Our annual fest tempest was one of the best times of my life with dj nights, neeti mohan, several stalls and the freedom of being in a gender minority college just made everything a million times better.

Dislikes

However, speaking for the political science faculty, although they are qualified, they are highly detached from the students.
Faculty somehow as it was sometimes not that good as we thought.
Apart from a few professors, the others methods of teaching are severely outdated and biased.

Miranda House

The exposure and opportunities were immense at Miranda. Although the labs weren't EXCEPTIONAL they were definitely better than any other labs in DU. Our lab staff is super helpful too.
The environment of Miranda is everything. The people you meet here are like no other, you learn so much here every day from a diverse group of amazing bright passionate people!
Being in a gender minority college can make you come face to face about a lot of realities of life. The curriculum was quite intense for my course, and the labs were also super long, but all of it was worth it. The coursework is quite helpful.

Dislikes

I did not find the Chemistry department faculty to be student-friendly or helpful. There were a few professors who were AMAZING at teaching but most of the others were quite rude or didnt put in that many efforts.
What Miranda's chemistry department did not prepare me for was skills in academia like scientific surveying, scientific writing, research papee writing, advanced techniques in lab. You have venture out and find opportunities outside of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Chemistry honors curriculum's core papers are extremely important and useful to provide you with a strong foundation for your masters (atleast theoretically). At Miranda, whatever was taught to us during the course was enough to clear entrance examinations like JAM or GATE with just a little more practice. We received useful materials and resources throughout the course from our faculty as well as our helpful seniors. Since I was in the post-pandemic batch (2021) the first year was quite hectic in terms of exams and fitting in the curriculum in a short amount of time. But after the first year, we got well-adjusted with our schedules, timings for the labs, and preparation for examination. I have applied for Masters abroad, and the curriculum is accepted in several European Universities as well as UK universities.

Magic in Miranda

The environment, women here are extremely supportive, wheather they are your friends or not, they'll have your back.
The faculty, the teachers care not just for your attendance but for what you actually learn it the class.
The campus and society culture. Beautiful architecture. The society culture is beautiful

Dislikes

Morning 8 a.m. classes which usually get cancelled like 10-15 minutes before, while half the students are on their way to college.
Honestly, there is not much to dislike about Miranda. It's the most beautiful place you can ever be in.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been a lover of English as long as I can imagine. Being in Miranda only brings me closer to my beloved, as each one of my professors only seem to strengthen my affection of the language and for the literature it offers. It teaches you in abundance about how the world used to work and how it works today. One who studies english shall never ever fail to navigate their way through life. Considering the examination, if you have it in you to look at things beyond their exterior, you'll ace this subject. Though, I must state that being a subject course, it takes a little more than "one to two days before exam studies" to score a CGPA higher than 8.

Miranda has an extraordinary environment with eye catching architecture
Students around you nurture you for your betterment
The ambience and vibe is very beautiful. You will not forget it

Dislikes

some of the courses offered by Miranda house do not have respectable and appropriate teacher
sometimes administration falls short of our expectations
classroom has no AC, so it becomes un intolerable

The curriculum followed by Miranda house is as per DU curriculum. It requires some and revision. It is not up to the mark but it is really insightful and will make you aware of the course chosen by you. It is very intensive and extensive at the same time.

Sprakling life at Miranda House!

Likes

The infrastructure and the campus area of MH is extremely beautiful and spacious!
All the classrooms are well designed with projectors etc. And all the laboratories have working equipments and AC fitted. And all the faculties are well qualified and great.
The canteen has a variety of food items available.

Dislikes

Hectic work schedule, with respect to science departments.
Classrooms didnt have AC, which was pathetic in summers.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell unit of Miranda House is the best, most active and strongest amongst all colleges in Delhi University. The average package that one gets is of around 8 to 9 LPA, and the maximum goes around 40 to 45 LPA. The same placement cell also provides internship opportunities to the students who have registered for the placement cell site.

Great experience of Miranda House

Main thing i like about miranda is the infrastructure. Oh my god! When it was my first day in miranda i felt in love with red buildings.
There is a placement cell in the college. That gives job to many students from the campus.
If we talk about curriculum so miranda is full of cultural activities over a year specially from February to April ( fest session )

Dislikes

Things i dislike is old buildings have no AC's in the room.
There is no unity between the departments.
Some departments specially science department are very boring as compare to others.

If i talk about mathematics so it was my weakness till school level but after coming to college I enjoy the course there are many seminars for it many activities held to promote the importance of this course. Overall I'm quite happy by mathematics.

Attendance is creating a lot of chaos now, like earlier there was no such criteria for attendance but now it must be above 67%

Botany is all practical based subject. The labs are the great factor for science colleges , well equipped labs are the first priority. So, labs are Fully equipped with latest technologies equipments. Also lab staffs are also very polite and cooperative. The only problem is the hectic schedule, we have labs from 1-5 Four hours straight in lab + lab work and file work

Miranda House - A Top Choice For The NIRF And Bollywood Alike!

Firstly, Miranda House is packed with very bright minds. You always have the scope of learning and networking with broad-minded intellectuals.
The administration desk works really well, all your issues het sorted out at a fast pace without having to get into the hassles of taking countless rounds to the office.
Miranda House is famous for its canteen. Whether you're a day scholar, hosteller or you live in a PG, you will be grateful for Nescafe's cold coffee and Pam's pasta, not to mention the main canteen's Rajma Chawal.

Dislikes

The very first thing that comes to mind is how small the campus is. It's really beautiful but the college experience would have been elevated to a great extent had the campus been more spacious.
Miranda House is very specific about not allowing the students of other colleges on their campus. Whether it's for Tempest, the annual fest, or just a regular day, you cannot give your friends a tour of your college.
I wish Miranda House had more courses, which could provide students the opportunity to broaden their career options.their

Placement Experience:

Miranda House offers placement opportunities for students. Aam Aadmi Party, DE Shaw, YesBank, ICICI Bank, UrbanClap, McKinsey & Co. are some of the past recruiters. Most of the students aim for Masters or other competitive exams, many aim for UPSC. A lot of alumni have achieved excellent AIRs in UPSC.

Miranda and it's life

The class sizes and labs in new building were appropriate and principal was friendly

The staff of my course (b.el.ed), psychophantic behaviour in staffs, class size in old building

The influence and choice of courses is very important and considerable for once flourishment in the college. The curriculum for me as made an apple amount of opportunities so that I am able to pack it situations in my course at possible. Extensivity and detailed application of the course is very important and favourable for various teaching and curriculum making methods. The course is annual.

Miranda House College Review.

Likes

Library is well equipped with all area books. There are system and high aid technical devices to search gor books. The college library is filly air conditioned.
The labs are fully available with the tools and devices. The lab timings are sufficient to complete the work.
The college provides a lot of green area which enhances the after classroom learning.

Dislikes

The classroom size is small as compared to the. Strength of the batch.

Placement Experience:

From 5 sem students become eligible for placements. De Shaw, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Delloite, Barkley etc are companies who visit our campus every year. Highest package was 24 LPA and average package is 15 LPA.

MIRANDA HOUSE - A LOOK IN

Best faculty,very supportive,nuturing growth,an environment which bridges linguistic and cultural gaps.Very comfortable and safe environment the college and the students and everyone else create there.
The infrastructure,the diverse library, accessibility,Computer labs, mentor mentee program where a teacher is assigned to a group of students and they're being supported throughout.
The societies and activities, academic opportunities, multi-faceted growth of a person is promoted by the institute.

Dislikes

Classes start from 8.30 am on a few weekdays, you might even have classes on Saturdays

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell in the college and I'm sure students get placed too. I haven't looked much into that yet. will soon. The placement cell is very active and they conduct a lot of workshops and internship and career placement drives.
