The college and govt provides various scolarships in support of the students like inspire scholarahip for she, the college provied financial assistance to ews students.
The faculty is also super talented and have a great knowledge.
Our annual fest tempest was one of the best times of my life with dj nights, neeti mohan, several stalls and the freedom of being in a gender minority college just made everything a million times better.

Dislikes

However, speaking for the political science faculty, although they are qualified, they are highly detached from the students.
Faculty somehow as it was sometimes not that good as we thought.
Apart from a few professors, the others methods of teaching are severely outdated and biased.

You will never regret to be a Mirandian.

Likes

The infrastructure of the college is top notch. The red walls have a legacy and the campus is awesome and this is the reason why it has been ranked 1 for 7 years .
Another interesting thing is that we have to ask professor to cancel the class as they take all the classes. Attendance is mandatory and professor are more regular than students. So it is a lot academic oriented.
The canteen is amazing and cheap . I went to a lot of colleges and I can bet that we have the best canteen food .

Dislikes

Only Ac's are not there in classes. Apart from that Nothing is there in Miranda to be disliked.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am very passionate about economics and this is the reason I took economics and history as my combination with economics as major and history as minor . Also the faculty of economics is good . Their teaching methods is excellent. Though I didn't have maths in 11th class but now I am able to understand Economics major well because of our professor . Semester Exams are kept in December and may . I believe it should be changed as we have extreme temperatures at that time which didn't allow us to study and focus properly. The internals timings are okay with me .

Likes

Teachers are very helpfull , knowledgeable , supportive and understand each student.
Annual fest which gave new opportunities to explore and provide a platform to showcase our talent .
It provides opportunity to explore various subjects which helps us to discover our interest.

Dislikes

Large class size and the timing of classes are also to big .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Exams is conducted once in each semester and timing of exam is evening shift. Exams is not very difficult one who attend classes regularly can easily score good marks in exams. Teaching methods , structure and career opportunities influenced my decision to chose this course. I also like the course structure.

The Most Geniune Review as a First Year student.

Likes

Science faculty is extremely good, helping and supportive.
From peers to seniors everyone is cheerful and sweet .
Highly safe within the campus with helpful security staff.

Dislikes

Less seats in hostel . Accomodation is one of the biggest problems.
High traffic and weather is too humid .Will take a lot of time to adjust with the surroundings.
High rates of pg or private hostels near to the college .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself was my personal choice whereas the chemistry department is highly a expertise in their work. The circulum mostly focuses on real life to professional life outlook which helps us to prepare for the future academic pursuits .They provide career councelling which helps the students define a clear path for their career.For improvements in the circulum their should be only one book it is very difficult to find content from different books and the teachers explain very nicely but rush in a fast way.The exams timmings are manageable and approachable whereas they should provide more days for preparatory holiday between the exams on the basis of vast syllabus.

Campus and new life

Likes

College infrastructure is good and pretty
Atmosphere at the campus is amazing the crowd is good
Events happening at the campus is great and amazing

Dislikes

Lack of faculty and poor management needs improvement
Lack of AC’s and very poor network availability
Query process is very delaying and slow and too much paper work

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main subjects are good but the additional sec vac and aec subjects doesn't add value to the course or mind of students. They are irrelevant to the courses and students too. Additional subjects should be related to the main subject and the course and also includes practical aspects

I study in Miranda college , i am ncweb student. The thing i like the most is that , the campus is really beautiful and canteen is also nice.

Dislikes

Sometimes, the class gets cancelled at the end moment .
And on weekdays n the ncweb students hardly get any classes to sit.

MIRANDA HOUSE NCWEB ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

Likes

Professors are helpful and very understanding. If for some reasons we are not able to meet deadlines they are understanding and cooperative
Canteen food and other basic facilities are also great

Dislikes

As an NCWEB student we are not able to take advantage of facilities like library

Course has been good for me as you have achieve good marks or atleast decent marks with minimal efforts and there are interesting subject every semester like emotional intelligence or reading fiction and digital marking to make cource interesting.

There is a very supportive and positive environment in the college.
The faculty is so helpful and student friendly.
The infrastructure is top class which enhances learning opportunities.

Dislikes

There should be air conditioners in libraries.
The rules for entry is very strict. There should be e - I cards as well.
Sometimes tee classes are not regular for some courses.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for a placement after 5th semester. There is a placement cell in college which provides a lot of placement opportunities. Many prestigious companies like ABP news, Frankfinn, delta x, finoak, ginger partners, blue ocean, cry India, zomato etc come for placement drives in college. The highest package is 15 lakhs and average is 4 lakhs. My plans after the degree is to prepare for competitive exams.

Best experience in college

To start with, I think the college's infrastructure is awesome, but occasionally, some people might get lost or confused about the room numbers. Overall though, the college's structure is fantastic.
Second, I believe that our college should upgrade the sitting areas in the canteen because occasionally there are not enough seats for everyone and the canteen gets overcrowded.
Some of our department's teachers have instructional styles that I find appealing. They instruct us in such a way that we do not experience any pressure at all.

Dislikes

Not much, really, to be disliked, but I am a little let down by the way the seats and fans are arranged in the auditorium. It seems like they are meant to be there but aren't.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose to major in chemistry because I am interested in the subject and want to learn more. How the things relate to chemistry. However, occasionally, certain teachers make me regret my decision to enroll in this course. One of my teachers teaches everything rather than just her specialty.

the course curriculum is highly relevent and comprehensive. it covers high range of topics that are highly related to our current industry trends and practical life. the case studies which we study is enhances our practical skills. the curriculum is not only theoritical even practical to applied on our real world problems. which excels our skills.

Yahaaaaayyy the Miranda charm

Calm and composure environment of faculty
Kind and polite behaviour of staff and students also
Good library facilities and annually functions

Dislikes

Canteen food is not that much good or tasty
Washroom are not so cleaned and there is no soap
Many Lights and fans are malfunctioned in the classrooms
