Each year, we all dance together during a festival called blitz, which is pretty enjoyable.
The college has many scholarships for bright students like the apj abdul kalam scholarship for pol science students.
Good teaching faculty that helps us to engage in college activities

Dislikes

It happens sometimes that classes are cancelled and teacher does not give prior information about the cancellation of the classes that waste the time of the students that can be used for studies
No real time projects in the course- there was very less learning as they had the fixed curriculum which needs to be followed and no real time or interesting projects related to the course
The faculty member is good but not better than my expected level

Reality of Satyawati college

Likes

The variety of culture students in college
The fests are amazing, every festival is celebrated

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not good, no air conditioner even fabs don’t work properly

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus is relevant. It doesn't prepare us for real world, we are only taught the theory part. The syllabus needs to be updated as the requirements for job profiles are changing. The difficulty of exams are moderate and preparatory leaves are given

Likes

The political science faculty was the bedt in entire DU
The campus was mesmarising and well maintained.
It has the largest auditorium in entire DU

Dislikes

The canteen food quality was average and unhygienic
Classrooms were not modernly equipped development required.
Also, this college is infamous for its politics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love to study and research about political science, what political world actually is and moreoves this as i am a upsc aspirant it will help me in all over the exams right from the prelimns , mains till the interviews also optional. So, according to me those are willing to take PSIR as their optional must go on with political science hons and the syallabus is also quite similar to upsc.

Likes

College has Good teaching faculty. All teachers are well educated and experienced in their feilds.
Full AC college canteen open all the day.

Dislikes

The crowd of the college isnt good as the outsiders freely roam in the college
Less attention towards sports and not encouraging students towards it.

The course curriculum is preety good and designed in a very effective way that one can go though very easily along with guidance of teachers and other faculty. Exams are held twice a year. For a 3 year course we go through a set of 6 semester examinations which is fair if we talk about the difficulty level.

The teachers who teach are really experienced
Air-conditioned canteens and library are available in the college which is a good part

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not upto the mark and is not what expected from a college
Sports facilities and extra curricular activities are really less than expected

Placement Experience:

The college has a dedicated placement cell for placement purposes. The average package for b com hons is around 3L-4L per annum. The highest is around 16 L per annum in my knowledge. Various types of companies show at the time of placement such as Paytm, Amazon, etc. There is a minimum of 7.5 cgpa required to sit in the placement for the college

Satyawti college has excellent sports department . The sports meets of the university show great progress . The college also has football+Cricket ground , kho-kho , tennis and badminton courts .
The college campus is very eco friendly and neat. College has good and excellent environmental department .
The department of political science is one of the best in the list of central university of delhi . College keep a good results as good as other colleges .

Dislikes

Satyawati college has smaller campus compared to other colleges of central university of delhi .
The infrastructure in satyawati college is not that good . But it's good and effective .
College has a good and excellent librery system with modern technologies .

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students can apply for the campus placements . Students with academic percentages above 60 65 percentage have a good chance of getting placed through campus placements , with the highest salary package offered being Rs 43 LPA in the year 2022 and the average salary package being around Rs 4 , 5 LPA . The top recruiting companies are PW , Boat , Zomato . My plans after getting degree is Cracking upsc with high rank that's y i choose political science as my major .

I liked the nature of this college teachers are are to humble and good and there are many facilities available in this college like in this college cantine food are so good and playing area is very nice we can play what we want
And also in this college teacher are very good thir skills are very nice and excellent they teach us very nice
And there is girls and boys separate center to study that was is good for both girl and boys

Dislikes

Nothing here to dislikes but if u ask there guards and staff members are not so good
And nothing so much to dislikes overall college is good
If they tight their guard security that was better option for them

I choose ba program because I want to read political and history and other etc subject of the ba and that's nice and whenever I go to exam exam time is good 3 hours aree good for any exam written they also teach very deeply in their subjects

Societies were active- i myself was the vice president of the corporate society in my college where I get to learn the organizing and management part.
Interactive Seminars- Various important used to be placed which helps us to decide what to do next in the near future.
Mentorship from faculty- Faculty there was so supportive

Dislikes

Less Placement opportunities- no placement opportunities were there, very few companies used to come and that too for intern role for the final year students
No real time projects in the course- there was very less learning as they had the fixed curriculum which needs to be followed and no real time or interesting projects related to the course
Administration Centre is messed up- Administration center used to delay the process a lot, we had to visit 3-4 times for such a little thing

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have already mentioned this that I have never liked the curriculum part as they follow the old approach of the assignments which really has no relevance. Instead of doing that there must be real time projects which could build up the interest among the students and there would be learning as differnet ideas would be presented there.

Well i liked the campus of my college as it is full of greenery all over
College societies gives many opportunities for internships and jobs
Senior professors are very talented and they have lot of knowledge

Dislikes

Infrastructure should be improved and use of new technologies should be initiated.
Office work should be done more faster as it waste the time of students as well as college faculties
Canteen food should be improved and also the ambiance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am persuing bcom honours. And truly speaking i am so into my course just because it helps me to tackle the real world problems. This course is designed in such a way that it in the first year we get to learn accounts, law , economics, hrm etc as our core subjects and in the second year we learn cost accounting, company accounts, international business and may more subjects which really helps to understand the day to day life problems.

Teaching staff are very intellectual and good in behaviour.
College building and our auditorium are fabulous.
Library and amount of books also mentionable.

Dislikes

Canteen foods was literally not so good .
There are no common rooms for boys and transportation problem also.
And the most severe dislike "other north campus colleges consider Satyawati as inferior".

Placement Experience:

Placement program also conducted by college and placement cell contact all interested students in your final semester of last year of course. Many companies like ICICI BANK, Excel international, MasterCard, DLF etc. Around 20-25 percent students gets placement. My plan is further studies in the field of Economics.

IMPERFECT BUT INVALUABLE: SATYWATI COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

THE RELATIVELY SMALL CLASS SIZES AT THE COLLEGE WERE A GAME CHANGER. PROFESSORES WERE NOT JUST DISTANT FIGURES LECTURING FROM THE PODIUM, THEY WERE VERY ACCESSIBLE.
THIS APPROACH OF THE TEACHING AND THIS TYPE OF PEDAGOGY IS A VERY CRUICAL ASPECT IN THE WELLNESS OF THE STUDENTS AS IT FOCUSES ON A STUDENT TO STUDENT BASIS AND STUDENTS AS A WHOLE GROUP
ANOTHER ASPECT OF WHY I LIKED THE COLLEGE SO MUCH WAS THE INDULEGENCE OF THE STUDENTS IN THE CO CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES, THE COLLEGE HAD A GOOD ncc CULTURE AND I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN THE SAME SINCE THE START OF MY SCHOOL.

Dislikes

THE COLLEGE HAD A VERY BAD INFRASTRUCTURE IRRESPECTIVE OF THE FACT THAT IT HAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST AUDITORIUMS OF DELHI UNIVERSITY BUT WHO KNOWS EVERY COLLEGE STUDENT THINKS HIS AUDITORIUM IS THE BIGGEST.
THE COLLEGE WAS NOWHERE NEAR TO CLEAN, THE WASHROOM WERE LIKE PUBLIC RESTROOMS, EVEN THOSE ARE CLEANER AND THE LINEINECY OF THE PROFESSORS TO MANTAIN THE CONSISTENCY OF COMING TO THE CLASS.
THERE WAS NO MINIMUM ATTENDANCE WHICH I GUESS IS NOT A VERY NICE AS I REMEMBER MYSELF PASSING MY FIRST YEAR WITHOUT EVEN GOING TO COLLEGE MORE THAN 5 TIMES OR SO

I TOOK A PARTIAL DROP TO PREPARE MYSELF FOR THE UPCOMING CLAT NEXT YEAR AND TOOK ADMISSION INTO THIS COLLEGE THAT TOO SANSKRIT HONS. AS I HAD THIS SUBJECT IN MY BOARDS AND HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE SUBJECT OTHER THAN MATHEMATICS OR SCIENCES. THIS COURSE DOES NTO GET YOU ANYWHERE FRANKLY, THERE ARE NO DEDICATED JOBS FOR SANKSRIT GRADUATES. THIS COURSE IS BASICALLY FOR ANYONE PREPARIGNFOR THE GOVERNMENT EXAMS TO KEEP STUDYING SIDE BY SIDE FOR THE GOVERNMENT EXAMS AND FOR YOU SEMESTER AS WELL.

Satyawati was a part of the Delhi University campus before it was relocated to Ashok Vihar.

When you are admitted to one of the DU colleges, you place a high value on education. There are many amenities in college that other colleges do not have, one of which is the Largest Auditorium at DU.

It's a good college with friendly students. The seniors are helpful. There are numerous co-curricular societies to which one can belong. Ragging is prohibited at the college because of the anti-ragging policy. Except for a few, the teachers have extensive experience and training. The building's infrastructure is adequate, and the classrooms are also spacious. There is a fantastic library as well. The canteen is excellent. The ground is in good condition and is well-maintained.
