To be eligible for a hostel room the candidates must have been admitted to the SRCC. The final allotments of rooms at SRCC hostels are purely on the merit of the marks obtained in the Qualifying marks.

Merit & need-based scholarships like [your scholarship name] & financial aid exist to help.
The faculty is completely qualified with a lot of experience and expertise , has really good teaching skills, clears all the doubts and interacts with the students, is gentle and friendly with the students.
Srcc has like the best placement's in the whole of du best companies hishest-35 lpa average -10-12 lpa package i don't really plan to take the placements and go for higher eduaction for mba or data science

Dislikes

The hostel facilities are not great as we thought and its not good as compare to the colleges like iit and iims
Hostel seats are limited. many students have to opt for pgs
Unavailability of lack of hostel facilities is a point of difficulty for me since a major part of my time is spent travelling to and from the college.

SRCC: Dream or Nightmare

Likes

Great overall exposure you’ll meet people of all diversities
Great placements as I said high number of placements
Affordability is great here because it is a student focused community

Dislikes

Drug culture is a big thing here so one must stay cautious
The rat race is absolutely crazy it gets really wild
People can be very toxic so one must think before making friends

Toxicity because of heavy competition in the college
Stressful schedules of classes and tutorials
Hard to manage classss with societies for a good CGPA

Semester 5 students are eligible for placements (provided only in 3rd year) up until now. HUL, Nestle, Dabur, Bain & Company, BCG, KPMG, Deloitte, PWC, you name any big consulting firm, they visit SRCC. Almost everyone gets placed with highest package of 35 LPA and average of 10 LPA.

Likes

College societies and clubs as they provide great opportunities
Library because it has most of the publications.
Sports Complex as we have one of the best complex in DU.

Dislikes

Curriculum could be improved by having more practical subjects.
Highly Competitive ,sometimes you get overwhelmed in the crowd.
Stringent Attendance policy is there in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.COM(Honours) is a theoretical degree. We had subjects like Financial Accounting and Corporate Accounting in the first year which were quite interesting. We also had subjects like Personal Finance, EVS and Vedic Maths as VAC and SEC.

SRCC - A college life to be cherished

Likes

The campus is just so beautiful. A good spot for clicking aesthetic photos!
Infrastructure is amazing with ACs and Blowers facility.
A vide diversified group of friends, if you are lucky.

Dislikes

There is a huge competition, which gets unhealthy at times.
Discrimination in getting into socities and on campus internships.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Bcom Hons because I do not like economics that much. The sections range from A to P. Each class has a minimum of fifty students and at most sixty. Teachers are all different for sections and subjects. Term exams take place in May and December and usually everything comes from the syllabus itself.

My college life

Likes

Basketball. We have a indoor basketball court which is available to everyone.
Students. I found a lot of like minded people who i became great friends with.
Campus. The campus is very well maintained.

Dislikes

Some teachers. There were some teachers who had a problem with everything.
Canteen food. It was not worth the price.
Poltics in some societies. This made the environment toxic.

Placement Experience:

5 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement. More than 500 offers. Hul, Mackenzie, Blackstone, Deloitte etc. 20 lakhs and 10 lakhs. 50 percent. I have planned for higher studies. That is MBA.

SRCC : The place of Dreams

Great faculties, the professors here are the authors of the books being recommended in other colleges.
Great peer group, the students here are the respective school and district toppers and even the national and state toppers are here.
We get to learn a lot from the clubs as it offers us first hand experience of managing.

Dislikes

The college has now imposed 67% attendance from 2023 which makes it more academic oriented and leaves less time to explore other ventures
The exam season can be stressful as there are instance where were back to back exams.
The college is overoccupied due to the DU's 20% extra admissions and is quite crowded in fests.

Placement Experience:

You become eligible for placements in the 5th semester. There's around 150 recruiters offering 550 placements. The placement ratio is around 85%. The highest package is around 34LPA being offered by Mckinsey,Bain and BCG. Avg is usally 7 to 9 lpa. I am opting for MBA directly after the degree.

excellent experience at college campus , it is amazing.
Sports complex is really good in college area.
Library is good and there is lot of books available in the library.

Dislikes

very hetic schedule in our college busy every time
There is a major issue of attendance which have to maintained.
a lot of competition exist there and everyone do multiple works.

students become eligible for campus placement from the 4th and fifth semester. Like KPMG, delloite etc. highest package is 36 lakhs in our college. around 40% student gets placement in our college. I have also planned to sit in plqcement season.

The high pressure environment may be a problem for students experiancing it for first time
The new attendance criteria in college makes it difficult for students to maintain their work in clubs

The students are allowed to sit in internship interviews from 3rd semester and for placemnts from 5th semester. Teh placemnts are overseen by Placement Cell under direct guideance of Principal. SRCC has highest placements compared to other colleges. The college had highest placement package of 35LPA, average package of 10.15LPA, Median Package of 8LPA with a gross placement value of 51.6 Crore in the year 2022-23. 100+ recruiters made 500+ offers spaning 15+ sectors including Tax and Audit, FMCG, Investment Banking etc. The highest Internship stipend during 2022-23 was 2.2LPM and the gross value is 23 Lakh per month with overall 120+ offers made. The college has highest placemnt offers and also provides other oppurtunities like international exposure through exchange programmes. But this year due to recession the college has been experiancing a reduction in the placements

At Shri Ram college of commerce I really like that there is an air conditioner in every class
The sports complex of Srcc is very good
The events they host, the speakers coming in and even the auditorium is very good

After getting into srcc people are in a bubble
Its the best commerce college of asia which its not actually

SRCC - worth the hype

Likes

The campus; Very green and beautiful. Very good amenities in classrooms.
The people, very sweet and talented, and the diversity is great.
The extra-curriculars provide a lot of personal development opportunities.

Dislikes

The campus is very small in comparison to other Tier 1 colleges.
The extra-curriculars are considered toxic because of the amount of time they ask you
The teachers are old, frail and boring as hell.

Placement Experience:

The 2nd Year students (3rd semester) are eligible for internships, while the 3rd Year students (5th Semester) are eligible for Placements. The MBB (McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, and BCG) are regular visitors, then the Big Four Accounting firs. 500+ offers were made last year. 35,00,000 Rs. was the highest and Average was 10,15,000 Rs. The company profiles and their stats aren't made public. From the ones that apply, 80% are able to get it. UPSC.
