JGEC Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Students of our college is eligible for placement from 6th semester and many MNCs like Flipkart Amazon Celebal Technology Haldia Petrochemicals Bengal Beverages LNT Voltas visit in our college for on campus placement and the placement records of our college is very good since almost 90-95% students is being placed in our college ..

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. Companies visited like TCS, tata power, cocacola, etc. Highest package of our college is 66 lpa and average package is 6 lpa. 70% students got placement. I will do job .

College placements are moderate even a non core brown student average package is 10 lpa and core branch students get 5 to 10 lpa job there is many standout lps from different branches but there is not a high lpa chops for the average students for a flip branch the packages varies placements for a govt job is unpredictable but in a government college the placement is far better than the others we get many chances from the reputated and big companies there is a club named training and placement serve cell the manage that everyday student can have a better packages.

7th semister L&T , Adani group , TATA Group , Sapooji Pallonji for core domain , TCS, Amazon , Atlassian for non core domain highest packege offered 6000000 and average 800000 80% students placed I will opt a job in campus placement

As i am an IT student ,the course curriculum in Information Technology depatment at jalpaiguri government engineering college(JGEC) is designed to be relevant and comprehensive.I love coding so i choose cse but my wbjee rank doesnot too good so i choose IT.But come here i know that two department subjects are same so no problem(CSE=IT). The curriculum is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) and is periodically updated to include emerging technologies and trends imn the field of IT. All of the class attend in college and hostel has unlimited free wifi use it and study and coding in your room.

From 6th semester you are eligible to sit in placement , various companies are visit for recrute students like TCS, COGNIZANT, ADITYA BIRLA, ULTRATECH, all makes offer according to their need like 4-5 , The highest package is 15LPA in this year average is 6-7LPA,lowest is 3LPA Arround 40% placed till now in this year , my plan is simple i want a good job for living good life

from 5th semester you are eligible for placement TCS , TATA POWER , ADANI POWER , BY JUS and many companies are visited in college the highest package is arround 44LPA and average package is arround 8-9LPA lowest is 3LPA in 2023 almost 100% student placed my plan after getting degree getting a good job

From 3rd year you can get internship offers . Many of our seniors got internship offers.Core companies like Voltas,TATA power,L&T hire students from our college.In 2023 the Highest off campus package offered was 64LPA. On campus package offered was 44LPA average package being 8-9 LPA.Around 90% student get placed.

Our college allowed after 7 th semester for on campus opportunities.The companies which visited our college are TCS , INFOSYS, Amazon and etc.The students who are placed they got above 9 cgpa in exam.

Placement are good the average package for tech department are around 8 lakhs and for non tech it will around 6 lakhs. And the placement ratio is good around 90% students are placement in on campus placement session. But some students are also preparing for GATE exam also for PSUs jobs and get further studies in IITs and NITs.
