BMSCE Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Getting 20 lakhs job is not at all difficult at BMSCE as Big 4 have ensured that they hire students by giving them bonds of 5 years. Hence there may be lay-offs or attrition in IT sector but not in Big 4 and that is where maximum students from CSE branch are placed in those companies with annual packages of 15-20 lakhs easily.

From Laxmi organic to Kanoria Chemicals we have many pharma companies too that comes for placements. Percentage wise we are the second most placed branch of our college. Placement package wise we do lag behind a bit but once our market grows we will also bag same kind of packages.

Since college holds responsibility for making sure that maximum students gets placements therefore not before final year are students allowed to try for interviews at the college campus. TCS, Wipro, L&T Technology and all the big names in this space comes to BMSCE every year and hires a lot of students.

As in world Inflation is running obviously the placement is droped. But to get placement good college is not only parameters we also need to acquire skill sets which is required for current Market. CS/IS and circuit branch have decent placement but core placement is not up to the mark.

All my seniors who enter the final year gets eligible for placements. Students have to do internships and their performances are evaluated and soft skills are developed at the campus and then the students are asked to apply accordingly. Top IT companies such as IBM, Microsoft, Infosys and others have hired a number of students from our college and continue to do so every year.

This rule that unless you enter the penultimate semester you can't sit for interviews is honestly disheartening. Many companies like nearly 100 companies who wants to integrate AI have started approaching BMSCE as they know that our college produces the top engineers.

Not before you enter the final semester from college end you can't sit for placements. For our branch companies like HP, Dell, Oracle, Honeywell have been the mass recruiters. One student from our branch bagged a placement worth 36 lakhs and to date that's the highest one has bagged from our branch. The average maintained is somewhere around 7 lakhs per annum.

Basically I choosen chemical Engineering. It has good lecturers and good placement offers compared to other colleges. Labs in our college is best in the state. It's quite good for the engineering compared to other colleges

CSE students can start their placements training from 3rd year and come the fourth year we have placements round. Almost 100% is the placement percentage for CSE core students. Companies like Oracle, Mercedes Benz, Visa and others come for placements and highest placement of our branch stands at 48 lakhs. The average too is not bad with 8 lakhs and for a fresher that too is significant.

The college students get to sit for placements from 5th semester but some students are hired through their internships before they enter 3rd year. From Microsoft to Adobe, we have global giants come for recruitment.
