Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies - a brief review

Likes

Exposure, campus faculty and facilities provided.
Sports facilities that are provided is also good.
Engaging and active societies and their activities.

Dislikes

Placement is okay okay but we should focus more on development of our skills.
Campus location is too far and in a remote area.
Less parking facilities of our vehicles.

Placement is very descent for MAIMS in the business management department, students from bjmc and BA economics Hons but when we talk about the engineering department i.e. MAIT it's quite good and on average students from MAIT are generally placed with an average package of 10-12 lacs per annum and students from MAIMS department are placed generally with an average package of 7-8 lacs per annum.

Infrastructure is quite good, the classes are properly managed.

Dislikes

Sports Club could be improved along with placement opportunities as well.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placement in the 4th semester. Companies such as Accenture, Wipro, and Genpact visit the college. They hire for roles such as Accountant, and Sales with an average CTC of 3 lahks. The percentage of students getting placement would be around 10-15%

College placement is not that great just like any other college but comparatively, companies do come here Students in the 3rd and 6th semesters are eligible for the placement The highest package has gone to 12-13 lakh per annum. 40-50% of students have been placed I would like to have experience in the desired field first

MAIMS a good journy.

Likes

College is very good. campus is very good .Faculty is very good. Or campus has amenity like lift. Ac in the classroom. Faculty motivation us in all the activities. They teaches you thoroughly as well as practically.

Dislikes

fees is much higher as expected and the library card is also a paid service you have to pay around Rs.6000 for three year and the Rs.4000 is almost refundable

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I love business and Want to explore something new. The faculty is very good. They motivate you in everything I mean and everything. The student ratio is 50:50. The exams of the semester are all about how you study. My experience is the College internal exam is more hard compares to external exams.

Great if you are planning to do something in side and need time for that.

Likes

The best thing about MAIMS is great campus which is provided.
Good point is they provide accommodation facilities like hostel and food offered in the hostel is great.
Faculty is good and supportive by nature and always present to help.

Dislikes

Some Managerial steps can be taken to enhance the overall efficiency.
More students can be encouraged to take part in societies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because this is a top college of GGSIPU for BBA and I want to excel in the field of business management. Faculty: student ratio is good, there are a total of 6 sections including both shifts and there are 2 assistant professors per subject in each department and one HOD. The faculty are highly qualified teaching methods are very good. Exams-related problems are present because they don't give much time to prepare. Notice is released on very short notice.

Maims is one of best college for management course

One of thing which makes maims different is faculty members and there way of teaching
The environment of Maims is healthy with lots of colours full fest
Maim offer student number of job offer in campus

Management is not so much support rest everything is good
There might be chances of unexpected exam plans
Campus area is really smaller like a house

MAIMS- READ BEFORE TAKING A DECISION

Likes

The support of the faculty is quite helpful and motivating
There are a lot of societies and clubs that provide various opportunities
The college provides both educational as well as extracurricular opportunities

Dislikes

I didnt like the time table or the day schedule of the classes
There are no field trips organised by the college itself

Placement Experience:

It depends on the students and the skills they develop. Most students go for internships after the 4th semester or 2nd year. The college's placement cell guides and helps the students in this. some of the top companies that have come for placements include: ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, WIPRO, Tata Motors, Delloite ,etc average package is 3-4 lakhs/year I want to pursue MBA after BBA

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum for a bachelor in business administration is of medium-level difficulty. The faculty is also good, they seem to be polite and helpful to students. They provide you with enough notes and assignments throughout the semester.

Cource curriculum was not that upto mark as it was outdated we need more practical exposure but it was limited. But whole IPU follows same curriculum Faculties were okayish and exams were not that difficult to pass.

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies (MAIMS) is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and is considered to be amongst the top 10 institutes to pursue BBA.
