Full proper review of my college

Likes

Ground is huge , we can play cricket, badminton, basketball, football , etc.
Auditorium is bigger than mostly auditorium . Around 900 students can sit at a time
Washrooms are cleaner as compared to my high school, handwash always present in washroom

Dislikes

My classes are on 8th floor. So mostly I had to go from stairs due to high crowd near lifts.
Only 2 lifts till now, 3rd lift is in progress but it will take some time .
Area is not good it's like the village area .

Placement Experience:

My college placement is good , in 5th semester it is compulsory to do internship of atleast 2 months in my course and after that the person got eligible for the placement after 6th semester. Our average placement is 5-6 lakhs and highest is 13-14 lakh per annum. My college has got NAAC ++ rank. More than 100 companies visited our college for campus placement and around 200-250 offers are made every year. Around 60% of students gets placed every year . My plans after getting the degree is to try to do MBA of M.Com from good college and then get a good college with good skills and knowledge.

Disappinting experience at Maims

Likes

Faculty and teachers are experienced and knowledgeable they
The institute has a good infrastructure of labs and library along with a auditorium and a playground
It is affiliated with IP university recognised by UGC

Dislikes

This college does not provide any practical training or skills
The placement cell is not very active and students look for off campus placement.They have to relyon their own efforts to secure internship/job
The college is not strict in attendance as a result very few people come to college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is not very relevant in todays world as it dont focuses on practical skills and knowledge.It is outdated and needs to be updated.I chose this course to learn about business management but it was like a school where we only study for passing exams whether we learn something or not.The teachers should change thier method of teaching and course should be more industry The exams are held in six semesters for 5 subjects each they are not so difficult to pass.Any average student can score good in it.

"A Deep dive into MAIMS"

College faculty was very nice and they give the best feedback and coordinator give personal attention to every student.
College gives society space for their cultural fests
College provide the best study with plenty nice and environmental space for study

Dislikes

Food there was not that good and the size was small of ground.

Placement Experience:

In the 5th semester students at eligible for placement. Various banks and MNCs have arrived in college for placement. The highest package was 6.5 lakhs and the average was 3.5 lakhs half of the students get the placement my plan was to start a business.

Overall the College is good but should try to upgrade itself more

Likes

1) Faculty is qualified and acquainted with current legal syllabus
2) College societies are present in the college related to Commerce / Finance, Dance, music, Sports etc.
3) Proper active Moot court Society, Legal aid, ADR Cell, etc is there. Students are selected on the basis of Interview rounds or some group discussion round.

Dislikes

College crowd is not fine. Students often indulge in violent activities sometimes.
College is too far from Metro station. A person coming from Metro has to take rickshaw to reach there.
Faculty doesn't care about the practical knowledge or extra curriculum. The main purposes is only to finish the lectures before exams.

Placement Experience:

?? Highest package- Maybe 10 lpa not above that because afterall its a private law college lowest package- 2 or 3 lpa average package- 6 lpa ?? Only 20-30% students get placement, but the reason is not that most of the students fail to get placement. Actual reason is that most of the students don't take on campus placement they go for off campus placements or wait for some more good opportunities. ? Companies / law firms who visited the campus- 1) ALS SOLICITORS & ADVOCATES 2) STATE BANK OF INDIA (SBI) 3) NANDA & NANDA ADVOCATES 4) CAPEX LEGAL 5) ARENESS 6) AMERICAN EXPRESS 7) SINGHANIA AMD PARTNERS 8) Ernest and Young (EY) ?? There is a proper recruitment process followed by the placement committee. Firstly invitation is send to the recruiter, then pre-placement talks are conducted, thirdly A pre- interview screening process is followed and lastly the Final interview is conducted for submitting list of final candidates.

Life within MAIMS

Likes

Faculty is quite supportive and would help with regular checks on students. They are punctual as well and no teacher took a lot of leaves.
There are lots of cultural societies in the college which are helpful for character development of a student
College facilities have drastically improved. There are AC's, a proper common ground along with a table tennis court and Basketball court.

Dislikes

Faculty was fairly new and didn't have much experience in teaching as the Law program was recently introduced in the college.
Fees was increased after 1st year and even though the students protested, nothing happened.

Placement Experience:

College placement is provided and it is done for every student. The placement platform is set up students and alumni and there is a different Placement cell that does all that. It also provides with internships and the college is really good in that.

Insights about Law in MAIMS

Likes

College has really good infrastructure and campus.
College has a separate library for law students and other libraries for other courses

Dislikes

College do not provide internship opportunities to its students

Placement Experience:

College do not provide on campus placement in law. But for other courses students usually are eligible for placement in their last year or last two semesters. For B.Tech and other courses college provide decent placements.

Likes

One of the things i liked the most has to be the vast campus as you may go out on a day to sit and chill with your friends. No one bothers saying anything to you and you can enjoy your day in peace
The campus has 4-5 canteens with a variety of food and with different price ranges. You can get high priced food as well as low priced food.
The classrooms include ACs unlike many other institutions and universities.

Dislikes

The most disliked thing has to be the area of the campus for sure. Like it is located in a SEZ and has no places to go to near the college.
It is located very far from the metro station as well. Like it takes around 15 mins via a riksha to reach the college campus.
The faculty needs to improve as they lack the element of understanding.

Students can apply for internships in both first and second year while only third year students are eligible for placements. Companies like the National Australia bank, Airtel and a few more joined the recruitment drive this year with several small companies.

Honest MAIMS review

Likes

The infrastructure is nice in Maims , also the campus consist of 3 canteens, many places to hangout with friends
Societies in maharaja agrasen institute of management studies are really nice, the interview and selection process is very standard
You get sufficient time and space to do your internships as you can skip college .

Dislikes

The placement is not up to the mark, in bba mostly sales position are available, and for other package is very low.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is okay . It felt very repetitive, chapters and syllabus were more or less the same. The bba course is not according to what is really needed in the real Industry. Some finance subjects are really fun to study other than that all subjects are easier that your school time.

A SUMMARY OF MAIMS

Likes

the classes are fully air conditioned . They are well furnished
The college have good clubs and societies which gives an overall exposure to us .
The college provides good placement opportunites and clears a way for the masters

Dislikes

The college is strict in terms of attendance . You have to maintain around 60 percent attendance

Placement Experience:

the college provides a lot with the placement and intyernship opportunities . theinternship opprotunities are available from the first year itself the college gives a NOC easily to support the students in terms of their attendance while taking part in internships . The maximum package is around 15lpa . overall good placement stats for a management college .

MAIMS- A college to consider

Likes

The thing I liked most about our university was its practical exposure. We used to go on visits to various news channels and publication agencies and understand how things happen in the real world.
Faculty was amazing, there was no pressure from the faculty, Professors were understanding and supportive. It never felt like we were studying, it was always an amazing an fun environment.
There was a photography lab, with great equipments and there was also a master control room like in news channels that helped us in understanding how a news agency works and It also had state of the art equipments.

Dislikes

While the time, I was at the college the canteen facilities were not up to the mark.
Our college had a basketball court which was half of the time non-operational.
Fees, I felt was a little on the higher side.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course a 9 out of 10 as the teachings here also had a practical approach to it, and the exams were also held at a reasonable gap of time. That gave us ample amount of time to prepare and the difficulty level was also decided based upon the teaching of the subject.
