Selection Criteria:
Stage 1: For applying to the following NMIMS University programs, NMAT by GMAC™ test is a mandatory test:

NMIMS conducts the 2nd Stage of the selection process for the shortlisted candidates. The Process includes Competency Assessment and Personal Interview. The details will be informed subsequently. The selection process is done in person and the candidate must carry the NMAT by GMAC scorecard.
- The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained by a candidate in NMAT by GMAC™, personal interview, competency test, and work experience.
- The selection criteria is based on merit only. The decision regarding the cut-off of the merit list will solely lie with NMIMS. Aspirants who have applied for more than 1 Programme / Campus in the application forms will be selected based on their merit score and preferences and the availability of the seats in the respective programme.
Note: The call letter will be declared on the candidate's dashboard. Call letters will not be e-mailed or sent by post.
Key Point: 30% seats in the MBA Program will be offered to female candidates.
Major Changes for NMIMS MBA Admission 2026
The institute has updated its selection process by lowering NMAT weightage to 10% and increasing the competency test weightage to 60%. Academic performance has been excluded, while work experience and the Personal Interview (PI) each carry 15% weightage.
NMIMS has also revised the competency assessment format, which includes four sections: Verbal, Mental, Managerial, and Quantitative. There will be a total of 30 questions (earlier 20), each worth 3 marks.
