The scholarship also grants to good students, their placement training and assistance are brilliant, and our college is always ranked in the highest placement ratio.
Our college gives a huge opportunity to each and every student to get placed in the reputed company and they can a get a good idea of how the interview done
Teachers are really helpful and are passionate about their subject and motivate us to make changes in the learning experience .they provide helpful meaningful notes for students to prepare for exam.they do listen to students suggestions while teaching.

Dislikes

College canteen is not so good. the food they provide its not good
The average package is very low . last placements were not so good .
Hostels are not good there..students prefer more for pg and own flat,as hostels also don't have good mess as there foods are not good.

Better than average

Likes

Bus service is there so if you ar travelling from far it will be very useful.
On campus jobs given to students are quite satisfactory and good.
Library is good many books are available.

Dislikes

Exam timings are odd you might have to come in different times on different days.

Reason to choose bca - 1) of course my interest in the technology field. 2) if you don't have a good financial condition and want a job as soon as possible. 3) if you are not from a science background and still want to become a programmer or have an interest in computers etc. Faculty -The faculty is good. You will also give a review sheet of the faculty if something is wrong. Also, all study material is available online too. Exams- Exams are normally college levels But not extremely hard. If you study properly you can easily pass.

The teaching methods of the faculty members.
The balance between academic and extracurricular activities on campus.
The environment around the campus is very refreshing.

Dislikes

Food in the college cafeteria is very costly.
The cost of study is very high as well..
Internet is not always available inside the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of the packages provided to the IT course students by the college. Faculty: student ratio is good. All the faculty members are Ph.D. members and the teaching methods are good. Exams are conducted in the semester system.

The faculty, the availability of help throughout.
The labs were equipped with all the equipments required.
The library has all the books we required and more.

Dislikes

The campus could have been bigger and cleaner.
The uniform was a bit too much and they were very strict about it.
Attendance based on uniform was something that can be changed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a petrolhead, I have always wanted to study mechanical engineering. The faculty was extremely helpful and professional throughout the duration of the course. Our qualified professors were more than enough to help us explore all the ideas we came up with.

From 3rd-year students start getting a placement and before 3rd students do an internship to get more skills and get a certificate to easily get campus selections and percentage of students who get campus selections are 100% if you take it sector course like cs it etc

The pros and cons of UEM

Likes

The infrastructure is quite good. It has seperate buildings for seperate courses like students of technology and management have seperate buildings.

Dislikes

The course has too many unnecessary subjects like BTech students have to learn economics, history, geography etc in their course.
The faculty members are not even able to solve
The campus life is no good. There are not many fest held and the ones which are held are not even good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do BTech in CSE so I joined this course. The number of faculty members is quite good but their qualification is not. Like some of them don't know their subjects well. Whenever a student asks the queries 80 percent time they are not able to solve them, whether it is a maths question or a programming question. The level of teaching is also not good like the first whole semester they were teaching us how to add two numbers in Python and the exams were totally different from what we were taught. There are a total of 2 tests and 1-semester exam. But the tests are just useless, many of the students don't bother to attempt these.

Here you can play break my playground anytime.
The faculty members here are very nice, they take care of everyone.
The placement of this college is also very good.

Dislikes

The playground here is in the basement, so if you ever go, you have to go up and down.
They should increase their canteen a little, the room is too small for the canteen.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took this branch because I have a lot of knowledge about computers and this will make our life better in future. Almost all the faculty members have done PhD in this college. They are teaching very well, they also help if there is any problem.

placement is one of the main focus of this college
there are soo many supportive teachers in this college

after 6th sem u are eligible for campus placement there are some prominent companies such as Cognizant, wipro , TCS, IBM and PWC and many more approx 85 % students are placed from this college this year

Placement is very good in college, students got multiple jobs in famous mnc like tcs, wipro, cognizant, Capgemini, IBM, Cisco, Microsoft, apple, amazon, Dell, etc. Our college always ranked for the highest placement ratio.

UEM KOLKATA: - IIT NEWTOWN

It's hard to tell bevause it should exist
First and I must have experienced it first.
I remember something the enjoyments we have done by bunking boring lectures.

Dislikes

The campus.there is no campus. This word
Dosen't exists in their dictionary, I think
The timings and there is a harsh thing is that you have to attendall the lectures

When it comes to placement, it is perfect . it gives 100% placement and minimum 3 job offers to each candidate with an average package of 6lpa. As IEM & UEM are group UEM gets a benefit of iem placements too

Good Education , Good Jobs...

Infrastructure, Faculty members , The classrooms , The labs
The courses provided, the environment of the college, library, auditorium

More tech events must be conducted and more opportunities must be given to the students to participate
Every culturnal norms must be conducted in college to get accustomed with our indian culture
There must be self study hours provided to the students and a student - faculty conversation session.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year onwards students become eligible for campus placements. There are mostly 40+ companies visits every year during campus placements. The highest package 72Lakhs and the average package offered is 8.8 lac. Almost 400+ students get placements every year. My plan is to become a web developer in a well-known company and I hope to earn it from my college.

Why am I getting so negative reviews about UEM Kolkata?

UEM Kolkata has been the highlight of negative views lately and here are the reasons:

It is fairly new and hasn’t reached any milestone yet which makes it unreliable according to the standards set in society. People don’t trust newly established private universities.
The entrance exam of UEM Kolkata is very easy and people pass it without any problem.
UEM Kolkata is new and therefore has no accomplishments and therefore uses the records of UEM Jaipur which makes parents skeptical.
The Institute has a very strict environment and therefore comes in the way of students who want to enjoy their college life. These students somehow convince their parents that the Institute is not good for them.
UEM Kolkata had issues with UGC(University Grants Commission) and is not recognized by the government and therefore it creates doubts about the degree among students.

These are some of the reasons why some students will be skeptical about joining UEM Kolkata. Talk to the students presently studying there as they can only provide you with the exact information. Try visiting the institute beforehand and decide for yourself.
