I am interested in doing PhD from one of the best university in foreign and for that IISERs are great platform and among IISERs, IISER Kolkata is best. Students after doing their graduation from here easily secure PhD position in foreign universities.

IISER Kolkata is a place to motivate the researcher. I loves sciemce and I want to discover new things in my life. IISER Kolkata's extraordinary faculties and infrastructure were key factors in choosing IISER Kolkata.

These are the colleges made for research purposes, and they are not job oriented. There are no official placements in any IISER. Most of the students opt for higher studies in abroad. Moreover, IISER students get a benefit over other students during admissions in abroad colleges due to its reputation in the field of research.

It is one of the best research institutes in India. It is an institute for future scientists. My interest lies in research work and I found IISER Kolkata best in this field and that's why I choose IISER Kolkata for my graduation.

I got admission through Jee advance stream candidate must less than 10000 rank in CRL rank list or in their respective categories OBC NCL SC ST. There are 2 more streams KVPY and SCB. For this there are 12th board cutoffs then after there is an entrance exam. After 12 board results, SCB portal is open. students can apply from there. Then there is an entrance exam. Results are announced in mid-July. The new semester begins in the first week of August. Any student who wants to pursue Science. IISER 's are the best option. It has all the latest instruments and excellent faculty. Infrastructure is wonderful with excellent mess food and hostels. IISER KOLKATA campus is widespread and has 5 ponds. Long roads gym volleyball court basketball court cricket ground football ground lawn tennis court, TT room, badminton court etc.

We have best facility for research we encourage people to do advance studies in science. But still anyone wants ti do job then iiser kolkata faila to provide placement but they encourage you to do startup under there startup programm lots of people have taken inspiration from there started there own startup which are running pretty good.

Most of the students go for PhD only handful of them go for jobs. There are very few companies who visit our college. There is no placement cell. Most of the Alumni are in Research at various universities. There is also an Entrepreneurship Cell promoting Entrepreneurship in the college.

IISER or Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata is prestigious indian institute and an institute of national importance. NIRF 2019 ranking of iiser kolkata is 46 among all other indian universtires and institutes.
